Good Points: Great location, on the very pretty harbour side. Beautiful village, built on the side of a cliff.
Very clean, quiet and safe a relaxing chill out lazy Canaries village. The apartments are basically clean and very spacious, with loads of hot water and 4 towel changes in a week.
    Attentive staff.

Bad Points: Built on a hill, so elderly or people with health difficulties may find it a struggle.
The apartments very basic, with no toaster, TV. Kitchen facilities were scarce, the cooker was ancient, and the whole building looked very tired and out of date. Locks on the doors are hit and miss, decor is faded and old, and there were no children's facilities at all.

General comments: Los Gigantes is a beautiful place, with friendly people and perfect for a chill out/older couples holiday, or as a quiet base for exploring from. Teenagers would be bored stiff. There is a pretty but un-child friendly small beach. But to compensate, there is a spotless lido, with great staff and a snack bar that is very cheap, with excellent portions of great food.

The Poblado Manero Apartments are very spacious, but they need bringing up to date. Think youth hostel/pension in Greece, and you will get the picture.

All in all, it is a small, clean resort. More than a week there and I would have gone stir crazy, and we had a car for 3 days of it! Steves Diner at the back of the hotel on the way to the beach - lovely people, and traditional English food, if you like that sort of thing - great packed lunches and good PG Tips tea! Jessis on the beach was expensive but in a fab location, with an open kitchen for cooking. Peking Chinese was the best - really cheap and A1 quality. The friendly Dolphin on the harbour had helpful staff and fab breakfasts. Churchills is over rated, as is Little Italy.

There is a supermarket at the back of the hotel, and the beach is a 2 minute walk away. Church square by Highland Paddy is good for a drink, as the kids can run around safely in the square, and they all tend to play together.

Would I go back? No! I've seen it all in a week. But all in all, it was relaxing - enjoy!
