stayed at the ionis hotel, was immaculate 2 mins frm beach staff really friendly. wouldnt go to laganus again its more for young people that likes nightclubs. got ripped off with the cocktails down the strip so beware ask them how much it costs first. no entertainment out there. not a bad beach been to better tho. must try the havana beach club what a lush relaxing place right on laganus beach. food really nice prices not that much cheaper than back home. avoid cocktails and dreams! the best part of the holiday was to hire a quad bike for the day went half way round the island on it lol. also i recommend the boat trip around the whole island couldnt get on to smugglers cove tho it was to windy which was dissapointing. people really friendly the only downfall is they try to get you into the bars and eating places which was really annoying. try a foot massage on beach it costs 20euros for 30mins. weather could have been better had 2 thunderstorms and 2 nights of rain. hope this helps oh and 1 last thing efarasto is thank u in greek lol. enjoy!

There was some good restaurants in Laganus. We were there from the 19th Sept until Oct 2 and rained for 5 days in that fortnight, there isn't much to do when the weather is bad in laganus. It was a long and sometimes dark walk into town. My wife had her handbag stolen by a thief on a moped. We had to pay for a translator 50 euros and pay for new keys for the hotel, 40 euros and we lost 100 pounds +150 euros + bag + purse + glasses.

The island of Zante is brilliant, and I'd definitely like to go back again one day. However, I think I would pay a little more for a nicer hotel or apartment, as I wouldn't stay at the Apollo apartments again. I think if it had been a family holiday it would have been unbearable to live in the rooms we did, but we were out most of the time, so it didn't really affect us.
