    Good Points: Beautiful place, great food and very helpful staff.


    Bad Points: The currents in the area do tend to pose a challenge and we were in a situation where we had some inexperienced divers with us, but this was quickly rectified. It is necessary also to remember to buy water at the bar to take to your room each evening. If you have an early start for an excursion, there is no way to get any.


    General comments: We had such a lovely time when we stayed at Filitheyo Island Resort, we're about to go again - something we have never done before. We liked our room, but spent so little time in it never saw the point of upgrading or having a water bungalow. The food was amazing and the service second to none. If you like a busy holiday with a big night life, this is not the place for you! Expect no news, no shoes and expect to meet a lot of lovely people who make their own entertainment! The staff could not do enough to make our stay a most memorable experience. The Werner Lau dive school was extremely well run and they catered for all levels of diving experience. They took us to a manta cleaning station and we even saw a hammerhead. Evening drinks by the sunset bar is a must.
