Dined at Toninos again last night...as usual the food was delicious and the service impeccable. My husband and I enjoy eating out and have tried many restaurants, but have to say Toninos is always the one that we go back to. Always a pleasure to eat there, such a lovely atmosphere with friendly welcoming staff, and management who will always go that little bit further to make your evening special. Definitely our favourite restaurant by far. (read more)

Always excellent customer service and waitresses always have a smile! If I ran a restaurant I would be really pleased to see 6 or 8 people come in not smack a 10% service charge on for tables of six or more. Don't they like being busy. We spent well over £200 in there so promptly got a £25 service charge. We didn't even get offered a complimentary drink, and when we mentioned it the owner was really rude and his wife quickly vanished. As one of the previous comments mentioned, we have been going to Tornino's for over 15 years and the welcome you get upon arrival leaves alot to be desired. The manageress is none other than RUDE. Walks around most of the time with her nose in the air, no acknowledgement that you are a returning customer and that you are likely to be spending your hard earned cash in there! The food is acceptable, nothing special.Be prepared for a 10% service charge for 6 or more people. Definately will not... (read more)

I'm really surprised to read this review. I have been a regular customer for years and because it is so reliably excellent, finally wanted to get a review down in writing as have been reminding myself to do it for so long now.
Why if a restaurant is so bad, would some people keep going for 15 years??? Surely you would simply not go. Also, why do people assume freebies are warrantied.
I simply feel each to their own, we all have our own opinion.
However, I wanted to write my words to accompany the majority of good ones!
Excellent service, lovely friendly staff, food delicious.
To watch the Italians talking away in their language in the kitchen is a bonus, not to mention their organisation in what must be very stressful busy trading hours.
It's a pleasure to going to this restaurant, no wonder they are still here 11-12 years on.....

Gosh, what a delightful evening. We recently moved to the area and have heard so many of our new neighbours and new acquaintances at work rave about this place.......so we tried it for the first time tonight. We have been going to Toninos for many years and whilst the food is acceptable for a local pizzeria the welcome is far from warming. The manageress is very frosty and unfriendly. If you have been a customer for 15 years or more some kind of acknowledgement would be nice. She makes you feel she is doing you a favour by serving you! Such a shame as Deeping has very few restaurants to choose from. (read more)

It is so difficult finding a good restaurant 20 mile radius of Peterborough unless you travel to Cambridge or London. I've now been to Tonino's three times and it is absolutely great. The food is so delicious and it's so nice to hear the Italian chef's in the kitchen with the open kitchen being on view to diners. The waiting staff are so efficient and friendly. An all round great restaurant with a great atmosphere. Will definitely be our new regular!! (read more)

Ive just moved to the deeping area and this was our first time at toninos. We were made to feel very welcolme and the food was very good, service was attentive but a little slow. However having moved up from london, im probably used to be rushed so probably not the best judge on service time. i beleive they have a mid week deal two courses for £10, I will write another review once ive tried it. But would recommend to a friend, provided you have plenty of time on your hands. (read more)

Food was awesome, compliments to the chef. Didn't rate the Manageress much, far too full of her own self importance - did laugh though when she stuck her nose in the air upon walking away from us and nearly tripped over her own ego. Although the restaurant always seems to be busy and popular we were extremely disappointed with the food and response to our complaint. I ordered Skate Wings a special of the night, not having had Skate wings before and being a fish lover but not a fish bone lover, I asked about the bones and if it could be fileted as I was unsure if you could filet a wing, the waitress assured me it would be fileted but it may be subject to some bones. What a good bistro! I'd been nervous that on the Saturday evening it will be packed and therefore uncomfortable, yet it wasn't when I visited, so I had the joy of being allowed to investigate myself and chat easily with my visitors. Once again we have to say what a lovely meal was produced for us last night , we eat at Tonino's once or twice a year usually on birthdays and we are never dissapointed , the atmosphere is very intimate for a couplke , service is prompt and with a real Italian welcome , and the food as usual was perfect. As I believe no one can produce pizzas like those around Naples and Sorrento, Tonino's certainly give it their best shot. Total value for money and we will be back..........!!! (read more)

My husband&i have been eatting at Tonino's since it first opened back in 1995. In all that time we have never had a bad meal or bad sevice. The food is always freshly cooked (so yes you may have to wait a while when their busy) but who would complain about that! If after enjoyong your starter,and main course you've stil got room their Tiramisu is very good! (read more)

My Wife and eat here regularly, mainly for special occasions, and have been doing so for the past 4 years. Service has always been excellent, prompt even when busy. We go several times a year and have never been disappointed.
The food is reasonably price, and there are a variety of specials on offer.
The only difficult part is deciding what to have. Staff are always polite, and we have always been seated extremely quickly once arising at the restaurant.
Overall a quality restaurant, and one of the best in the area.

I have eaten at Toninos Pizzeria many times and have never been disappointed with the food. It is excellent.
Occasionally you may have to wait a while for your food but as you can see it being cooked you don't seem to mind.
This is a fabulous restaurant and would highly recommend that you give it a go.

Atmosphere is quietly buzzy. Mostly couples and small groups of adults (young and old) Pizzas are made using good quality ingredients and are very reasonably priced. I second that review as I was there on Saturday night at the same table!
It's a real shame as there is not much to offer in Deeping. Someone open another Restaurant so they have some competition!
