I can see how some people might have a problem with these guys, but I have always found their prices very reasonable and with a competent website that allows I would say more customisation than say Dell's website whilst also loading up very quickly.

Build time is a little long, but then I had to wait 2 months for a dell that never came one so can't really moan! Plus they chuck in the odd frebbie, albeit quite cheapo freebies!

I checked the dates of most of the negative reviews and the nature of the complaints. I also checked on a few competitors and then decided to take the plunge. What was i worrying about. The computer arrived within the 9 working days quoted. I mistakenly ordered Vista instead of XP as i didn't know about Vista compatability problems with Office 2000, so had to buy XP seperately and had problems installing it. NEVER WORKED ON ARRIVAL.
WRONG PARTS. WRONG BIOS SETTINGS.MISSING KEYBOARD.SNAPLOCK CABLE NOT CONNECTED TO MOTHERBOARD.NO CD SOUND.FAULTY MEMORY.
COULDN,T CARE LESS ATTITUDE.
THIS HAS BEEN A TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE.
ARE YOU BUYING BECAUSE IT LOOKS CHEAP?
I DID BUT ENDED UP PAYING MORE.

I read mixed reviews about computer planet but most were good so I went ahead and bought the most expensive PC of my life. The price was very low compared to people I looked at and I got the exact parts I needed for my gaming PC. Everything was delivered as I ordered and delivery 2 days early. I'm very happy with the service provided and did not have any problems.

Unfortunately I read the reviews too late and placed my order without knowing about the problems most people have had with Computer Planet. Before placing my order I read through all of the stages that my computer would go through (e.g. Sales Order, Testing Queue etc.) and was feeling confident that I would receive my order within their 7 - 9 working day delivery. I bought a custom desktop last month. A very high-spec beast of a computer. The Computer Planet website was very straight forward to use. There's a wide range of components to select and the prices are clear. After placing my order, I was able to check up on its progress by loggin in to their page. After it was shipped, I was then able to track it via the UPS website. I have been increasingly impressed with Computer Planet. The build time of my pc was very short even though I made multiple changes to my order, with which the customer support were very helpful. On receiving the system I discovered some minor problems which I managed to sort out very quickly thanks to the impressive response times and helpful attitude of the people working in customer support. very good value for money for the pc i bought looked up on websites like pc world for similar spec pc's and the prices were nearly double as to what i paid received on time and everything was easy.

I have just received a new PC from Computer Planet and have nothing but praise for the company. The PC was delivered on time and to specification. The only issue I had was the free headphones were not included, one email and two days later they were received. The PC itself has no probelms and from the aftersales support I have received to date cannot fault them.

Well set up web site, informative and helpfull
I liked the way you had a running total down the side so that you keep a check on the options and how much it would cost.
Computer planet kept me up to date at EVERY stage from confirmation of my order thro' the picking, testing and finaly delivery which was ON TIME.
I would recommend Computer Planet to anyone not happy buying an "off the Peg" computer. or just likes the idea of designing their own unit.
In my opinion 5 Stars to Computer Planet ...

We have been very impressed with the service throughout, there are few companies that would rival what Computer Planet have done! The email updates are an excellent help and all work was carried out promptly. Once the computer arived it was set up in minutes and it was clear the product was as good as the service.

I had a very positive experience purchasing from Computer Planet. The website was nicely laid out and easy to use. When it came to building my pc on the site I knew exactly what I wanted and it only took me a few minutes. The price for what I go was excellent and overall their prices are very competative. The same spec PC would have cost me an extra £300 or more from a leading retailer. It took about 10 days from ordering it for it to be built and devlivered which was less than the estimat ...

Right from the start I was happy with the web site with the price visible on the page each time you add or subtract anything (with some others you have to right to the end to see the price and then go back to modify)
computer planet were helpful in that they let you know if you have oversteped the margins of compatability for your choices of OS/RAM/etc.
They kept me informed at every stage of Build,Test & Expected delivery.

A continuation from my first review. Computer Planet claim that when the PC was delivered it must have broken everything in my PC.. I really dont think this was the case. I think its a haradware compatitbility issue.

These guys are very dishonest, when i emailed them about the progress on the PC which took 1 month to build. As soon as i said i want my money back, they sent me 4 emails in one go. The emails confirmed that they have built the PC, put it through testing, the PC passed the 'exten ...

The Computer Planet website looks good, however, it took 1 month to build. It was very late. They never replied to my messages or emails. When i received the PC, it wasn't working. These guys are very rude and aren't very friendly at all. I'll update my review once I they have got back to me.

Overall I am very impressed with the Computer Planet service. As an IT teacher I am often asked about recommending PC sellers, from now I will be recommending ComputerPlanet without hesitation.

Prices were competitive

Online ordering system was excellent

Firstly the machine works, otherwise Computer Planet would be the very first to know!

Feelings are positive. Having previously bought an off-the-shelf computer from a major internet supplier, I was immensly disappointed to find the installed DDR2 memory referenced in the spec wasn't supported by the mother board, nor could I increase memory beyond a paltry 2Gb. Things were so bad I gave the machine to my wife!

I was very happy with the service and product I received from computer planet. It took a little longer than stated on the website but there was a couple of issues with my machine which held up the procedure.
The machine is fantastic and ready to go the moment it came out the box, no fiddly setup, everything was installed and ready to go.

I would defiantly use them again in the future and recommend them to friends who are looking for a custom machine.
