    We have just returned from a week at the Costa Verde resort (2 adults + 3 children) and absolutely loved it. The facilities are fantastic and include a huge pool with swim up bar, gym, multiple restaurants / snack areas, entertainment and some good excursions. The staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them and they DO NOT expect to be tipped (contrary to another review, water is provided / refreshed in the fridge daily on request - you only need to leave a note for the maid). Tipping is completely voluntary, no different to anywhere else in the world and is received with genuine gratitude and thanks. There is a good variety of food for all tastes and both informal and formal dining (all of which we rated good to very good). The rooms we stayed in would have benefited from a little refurb but were clean. The resorts beach is quiet, cleaned daily and has powder sand and shallow clear blue water safe for children to swim / paddle. For those looking to explore Cuba, the resort is a little isolated but provides car hire / excursions. Our children loved the resort and we were all very dissapointed to have to return home after just one week. There will always be those that find fault but all the other holidaymakers I spoke to had nothing but praise for the resort and its staff. All inclusive unfortunately often rarely means that but at Costa Verde its very difficult to find anything to spend money on. This was our first but hopefully not our last trip to Cuba.

    Hotel and people are lovely. Beach is amazing and watersports Had a fantastic 2 weeks there. Would go back again., The people are wonderful. Really had a terrific holiday

    Perfect hotel, perfect staff, perfect food, recommended! Playa Costa Verde is a perfect resort with wonderful accommodation, very highly recommended.

    Good points beach and weather. Pool dirty, staff expect to be tipped, food terrible, birds eating out of food trays in restaurant.... maids expect to be tipped every day or you don't get a fresh bottle of water every day. We have just came back from two weeks holiday in this resort the Playa Costa Verde and we would not recommend this place to any one!! They claim more 4 star like 2 star if your lucky.

    This hotel is for family; teenagers; mature guests, basically it would suit everyone, other than those who prefer a lot of night entertaining, as there is only one small nightclub in the hotel which tends to be not so busy.

    Going to this hotel was absolutely a great choice for us, we have been there three times and shall be returning this summer with family and friends.
