    i am now almost £10 worse off after requesting a credit report from check my files as i got no information from them at all!

    I applied and paid money for a credit report in December asked for report to be sent by post nothing has arrived. I cannot find out how to ask what has happened to the report can anyone help me?

    Checkmyfile have proved very helpful to keep track of my credit files - and have offered me a lot of advice on managing my credit.They are good if you don't HAVE CCJS and haven't defaulted. If you have poor history then go directly to the credit agencies.

    I purchased a £6.95 credit report from Check My File. I have as yet to see the report as the web page just flicks back to buy a report. I recommend you just go to the direct site for a report from Equifax or Experian.

    The Check My File Credit Report site is confusing, and not what people want to see.

    The information we received didn't actually tell us anything other than we had debt registered against us. Most of the information was completely baffling, as the basic facts we received from the Check My File credit report were very vague. It has taken us nearly 3 years to find out exactly who has given this information and how to get rid of it, usually by contacting the County Court. We are still trying to get all the Credit Reference Agencies to update records!

    I would never recommend anyone to buy their credit report from Check My File. It is not worth it. You are better off getting the files directly from the agencies. In any case, that's just what they do, and they charge you more for doing it.

    I paid £17 to get information from three credit agencies. The information supplied by Check My File is a cut down version of the information the actual agencies hold. For £2 on each site you get much more information, including the name of lenders etc.
