Unbelieveable customer service. I have requested twice online to cancel my trial membership by following their guidelines and it never happened. I have been ringing everyday and never got through. I am on the phone as we speak and 25 minutes later all I am getting is some silly music and a woman on repeat telling me to get a credit rating! Do not bother with Equifax - Experian have a superb customer service.

Truly awful customer service! I signed up for a "free" trial of their credit monitor product, which is advertised as "instant access to your credit report". Equifax debited my card for £1, without even asking or telling me. It is not mentioned it their terms and they should have told me this beforehand. They then said that I would need to call them to complete my application and see my report online. When I called them they told me that they could not verify me at my current address a ...

The service is awful they say the report is free but even if you cancel within the 30 days, you will still be charged 6.99. This happened to me and someone else I know. You cannot call them about it their numbers send you through loops before eventually saying they cannot help you and the automated service cuts you off. AVOID. The Experian service is better. Just use Equifax for their statutory report, nothing else. They even had invalid details of addresses when my supplying credit agreements w ...

Avoid Equifax Credit Report like the plague. You have to enter your credit card details to get the "free" report but it is then extremely difficult to cancel your subscription. If you don't cancel you will be charged £6.99 per month. According to their site you have to ring their "customer service" on an 0870 to cancel. I tried this several times trying each of the options none of which took me to a human being. Instead I had long winded recorded messages about the product but nothing abo ...

Would not trust this company to get anything right! They are just out to get people to pay £2.00 or more for a copy of a report which tells you that they should not have given you this rating in the first place. One of my credit cards reduced my limit from £10,000 to £500 because Equifax "made a mistake"!

Impersonal, too much emphasis on flogging the much more expensive variants of the same service. The £2 report is fine if you have an IQ in double figures.

I saw an advert to view your credit rating free for 1 month with Equifax Credit Report www.equifax.co.uk. All you had to do was give your details and credit/debit card details and they sent you out a password through the post. The only bad point about this service was done for security reasons and that was posting the password which took around three working days. Once you received that you can log in and view all the information kept about you on your credit status.

You are told that it can ...
