People are under the impression that Experian (CreditExpert) are responsible for their credit account information being incorrect but they are wrong! The company are only a financial library and only store the Information on a persons report, which is recorded by the Creditor (company you have finance with) themselves! If the credit score has decreased it is not the fault of Experian, but the finance companies. And companies should I form customers that when they search a credit report, it affects a customers score! Experience have been key in helping me to better my report and score as it allowed me to find out how lenders have recorded my information.

I signed up with Experian's free credit report and score. You need to fill out your credit card details. The small print is easy to read through and understand. If you don't cancel the card after 30 days then you will have £14.99 membership fee debited from your account. The information they provide on you is clear, concise and detailed. All details may not be 100% up to date but this is understandable. An overdue catalogue payment was mentioned on my account which I had three weeks previously cleared. However, Experian inform you how to update the info and provide sample letters to send to your creditors. I was very happy with Experian and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The website links for the statutory report do not work. The only link which does is for the chargeable account. Equifax can provide you immediate access - why can't you? This has been a problem since at last April 2010 - which they have failed to address. Callcredit are as bad. They provide details to lenders based on exactly the same information you key into their website make an application for an online report - but, surprise, they are unable to provide details basd on the info you provide! You have to make a manual submission, of exactly the same details they failed to recognise, through the post. Of course, then they claim not to have received it and blame Royal Mail. All deeply unimpressive.

Signed up for their free 30 day trail after I was a victim of identity fraud and my excellent rating was destroyed, the process was simple and easy just had to wait a week for the verification pin code in the post. Their report is right up to date and so far no problems! also tried Equifax but their info is massively out of date and very basic.

I joined Experian a few month ago - i don't have any bed credit history - but i learned a great deal on how to improve my score. Turns out my score was 'fair' at 806 due to the high utilisation of my available credit - my credit card was at around 75%. So i paid 400 a month into the card for two month - and my credit score is now 904 (Good) - I applied to the Halifax a month ago - and i move into my new house next Friday.. I'll be keeping this service for a while longer.. great resource

I have been with Creditexpert for just under 2 years and their service is excellent. I've sorted several issues with them, and have found them courteous and knowledgeable. The below comments just seem like sour grapes from people who can't read. It's hardly small print what they put on the site. Here it is, just before you sign up:
'Why do we need your card details?
Your card is used to verify your identity. Don't worry, your card will NOT be charged for membership during your free 30 day trial and there is no obligation to continue with the service after the trial period.
If you choose to stay as a member after your free 30 day trial your card will be charged a monthly membership fee of £7.99.'
