    Stay clear of these scammers

    We had the misfortune to ask Fox and sons to value and sell our property in Eastbourne, a shop with a tenant with a maisonette above the shop. They persuaded us to do the sale by auction and really talked up the price and the chances of selling. Then,to our utter amazement, they told our tenant in the shop that even if the property didn't sell they would be able to get another tenant in at a much higher rent. Result: property grossly over valued so no interest at auction, tenant quit and property left empty for over six months. They still get their £580 auction entry fee and we are left poorer by £3,500 in charges, solicitors fees and lost rent.

    These people are corrupt, don't trust them. We're trying to get some redress through the ombudsman, will post result.

    I agree, any positive review is probably from them.

    What a bloody shower!!! Any good reviews of this corrupt company have to have been written by themselves!!!

    Wouldn't let me even view a property unless I agreed to do my mortgage etc through them. They tried to force me to use their solicitor when I have my own through family

    Apparently they get commission from the solicitor too!!!

    Greedy greedy bar stewards go direct to the vendor and tell them that Fox's will even loose them a sale to make more money for themselves!

    Many Thanks to all the team at Fox & Co Preston , they realy went the extra mile to get me in the house on time for my baby. Very good value on fees and striaght forward to deal with. Had had no end of problems with my old letting agents so its nice to find one that cares.
    They are very flexible with viewings times and always upfront about properties and their move in cost to set up the rental.

    I telephoned Fox & Sons Estate Agents to register as a potential property buyer. I told them my budget and the man on the phone immediately tried to talk me up on budget! I told him I could not afford more and he was insistent saying that I needed to see their mortgage advisor as there were 'ways around' the affordability issue!!
    He tried to arrange viewings for properties well out of my price range and then tried to force me to see their mortgage adviser despite me saying I have a mortgage arr ...

    To say that I am annoyed by this company is a complete understatement!!

    They are all smiles when taking your money from them but then disapear when you want to leave them. Where do I start...
    Whilst with the company they changed there address shut down the original office and changed their phone number. Did they think to inform me? NO! I thought they had gone bust and had to find their new location and number on the internet.

    Please, Please Heed my warning and steer clear of Fox & Sons Estats Agents, especially of the Eastbourne Branch.-Hugely lacking in information for prospective customers resulting in losing monies. If said information had been in place before I would have NOT proceeded with the company!

    Would definately recommend to a friend and would use them again! Good customer service, giving a whole range of help in both helping both vendors and purchasers-helping them through a stressful transaction.

    Fox & Sons, Estate Agents Southampton.They didn't turn up for a viewing. When we called, they suggested it was our fault (we had re-confirmed an hour earlier).We told them categorically that we did not want to hear from their Mortgage advisor, who called anyway!They couldn't answer simple questions.
