Please don't entertain Whitegates as an Estate Agent as we did.
They originally valued our property 2 years ago from which we have only had 3 actual viewing's all of which were been obvious time wasters.
After the first year they contacted us and insisted that we reduce our property in price which we did by £15.000 but to no avail.
We were contacted again recently by a very abrupt rude female who insistently demanded in a threatening manor that we once again reduce our price, but on this occasion we refused as the property was well in-line with the market value price.
Her attitude was one of reduce it or else.
A few day's later we received a letter from Whitegates stating that their agreement to the marketing our property would end in eight days time, on the same day they removed their For Sale without giving any further opportunity, not to mention that the For Sale sign should not have been removed until the agreement had ended.
Stay well clear of Agents like these.

we were in the process of buying a property through manning stainton and whitegates were a joint agency. we are first time buyers and this process was stressful enough, especially with a baby on the way. whitegates were told we were in the final stages of the property about to exchange contracts and all the time they were planning to sell it to another person quickly behind our backs. we got an e-mail yesterday out of the blue saying co ...

Whitegates Worksop was a franchise whan I used it and provided a tme a tenant enant having completed with a search of the tenants suitability.
The tenant was problematic and threatening to myself and the neighbours and had eventually made it clear that they had a prison record. Additionally Whitegates retained 3 months rent told the tenant not to communicate with me over the rent Whitegates had. They bounced the cheque for the rent they received.
The people running the franchise are not interes ...

Searching for houses online , I contacted whitegates to arrange some viewings. The girl I spoke to didn't introduce herself and when I asked about some properties I liked, she took ages to find them. She said she would call me back about times but never did, called them today and took about 5 calls before I got through, it just rang. I have one viewing with them but I probably wont go, its not worth it!

They had a house on the market, so I did a credit check with them for £100. I passed, as everything was OK. The date was arranged to give the deposit and get the keys (I explained that it was critical that I move in since I was starting work 5 days after moving in). Whitegates Estate Agents phoned me one week earlier, and said that the house was NOT ready - something about a GAS safety certificate not being done. They offered me nothing else and left me in LIMBO.

I wrote to their head ...
