Good Points: Amazing room (loft suite)
Bad Points: None
General comments: I booked the Radisson Playford in Adelaide, Australia, for my partner's birthday, and it was brilliant.
The room is on two levels, with the bathroom, kitchenette and lounge on the lower level, and a spiral staircase leading up to the bedroom on a mezzanine.
The room has a balcony, but there are two things wrong with it. It's simply a sliding glass door that opens up onto a waist-high railing. It's not a balcony you can stand on. You merely stand in the room and lean out through the open door and over the rail. Secondly, the view is really poor. Had this been a north-facing room overlooking the river and Adelaide Oval, the room would have had a 10.
We got room service for dinner. It was pricey and the portions were small. So if you have a bit of energy left after your day's activities, take a stroll down Hindley Street. There are dozens and dozens of cheap, interesting places to eat.
Apart from that, the pool, gym, spa and sauna are functional. They're in the basement so they're not pretty, but if you need a swim it does the job.
The staff are very professional, and the service can't be faulted.
