Good Points: Cheap but u get to know why
Bad Points: Dont cover you for much at all, advise you to read the small print!
General comments: I am so surprised by the good comments about this company on here and can only assume they are written by employees because this company is not 1st class or great at all! I had my phone stolen but as I didn't witness it, I had to claim it as a loss. I claimed through CUSC and they had refused on the grounds that they do not cover for theft or loss whilst in any form of public transport or public place other than when the phone is taken by actual or threatened force (actual text from their policy). So they are saying if you lose the phone, unless it was by force (which is impossible) or you lose it in your home (which is ridiculous) the you are not covered!
I decided to read it more and the list of things they dont cover you for is laughable! For instance, they claim to cover you for accidental damage but according to the policy and I quote word for word, they don't cover wear or tear, mechanical or electrical breakdown, corrosion, rust, dampness, water, condensation, cracks, flaws or fractures, scratching, chipping, abrasion, change of colour, texture or finish! LOL so what accidental damage do they cover you for I wonder?
I will never go with them again and will stick to my network provider in future!

I read some of the money matters page and CUSC came out the best value. Unfortunately after only one month I had to make a claim, this proved to be straightforward, within three days I received my new Nokia N95. I can only praise the staff for their professional manner in which they gave me a first class service.
I do not usually respond to these review pages but in this case felt obliged to share my experience.

Make sure you read the small print on your CUSC www.cusc.co.uk contract!!! I checked everything on the policy to make sure the phone was for theft, loss, accidental damage but what I didn't notice is that they did not cover under the age of 16 years and I bought it for my son who is 13.

I would recommend CUSC Foneguard to others as they delivered what they promised. Cover was provided on the same day. Allowed payments over a 12 month period. Very helpful staff. Easy to deal with.

Not impressed by CUSC www.cusc.co.uk. I bought the insurance on the recommendations from sites like this. They have made many promises and so far kept none of them. So far they have had my phone for over a month and it is still not back. They keep telling me they aim to have it back in 48 hours. Completely useless so far. I will leave as soon as I get my phone back and switch to another company.

Purchased my phone at the beginning of march and insured with CUSC www.cusc.co.uk foneguard after a recommendation through my university. Within the first week my phone was stolen, after the initial shock and panic called cusc who kindly talked me through the claim procedure and within three days received my new Nokia n95. I wouldn't normally write to anybody about this but i was impressed with their service.

Complained in writing asking for some compensation- Got letter of apology " this is an isolated incident"!
This was a cataloge of incidents- do not recommend!

I was offered insurance by the Car Phone Warehouse which I thought was rather expensive.
I read on the Money page about CUSC Foneguard and I also did a search on the web for alternative companies, but I chose CUSC Foneguard for its professional approach.
When I had to make a claim, CUSC proved to be efficient and quick to react to my needs. I received my new phone within just 3 days!
I would not hesitate to recommend CUSC Foneguard to anyone seeking mobile phone insurance. ...

I lost my mobile handset, and telephoned CUSC mobile phone insurance, and had the replacement within days. No hassle and no forms to complete. This is a first rate company that I have been dealing with for 4+ years. Thoroughly recommended.
