We did initially like the new slim design. We purchased a new Brita Filter MAXTRA. We have now tried 3 boxes of filters but we are still getting a black sediment in the bottom of the jug. We have re-filled dozens of times but problem still same.

This is not an electrical appliance. We drink a lot of water, since I am a singer and my hubby needs to keep the kidneystones at bay. We used to buy the cheap water bottles from Tesco, but they took up so much space and it was also a hassle to shop for 30 or so two litre bottles. I used to drink bottled water until I realised it was costing me a fortune and doing my back in, bringing the stuff home. A Brita filter is far cheaper and is better for the environment
