    Good Points: Beautiful location
    Wonderful feeling of being on a tropical island, and not a hotel. Sitting in our front room looking past the palms and pool to the ocean a couple of hundred feet away
    Good value


    General comments: The Beachhouse Aruba (www.beachhousearuba.com) is a small single level property across the street from the beach, and 50 - 100 meters above the huts and Palm beach. The unit we stayed in was a two bedroom with a nice sitting, dining/cooking room which opens widely to the outside with louvered doors through an archway. Very comfortable, the bedrooms are air conditioned with remote controls, and the 2 bathrooms are nicely done in marble. The first sight was somewhat disconcerting, because it is not obvious where the office was, and our unit was so open it looked like someone was already staying there. But our hosts were great, and we loved staying there. We like being able to have cold drinks when we want, and to eat in part of the time. Abundant parking. The pool area is small, but nicely done, elevated slightly, with lounge chairs, towels and palms for shade. We like to have a car, but it is an easy walk to Vela wind surfing center and the beginning of the high rise motel strip.
