    Good Points: Just about everything.
It's about 20 minutes drive from the airport situated between Little India and Chinatown, just around the corner from probably the busiest street, ORCHARD RD, where there are loads of shopping malls. The famous RAFFLES is on the next street, so the location is just about perfect.

Bad Points: If you get the hotel to pick you up from Singapore airport, you have to visit their desk at the airport (we didn't know this and got a taxi from the airport. Well, it was a Limo actually, which cost 3 to 4 times as much as a taxi. We know now), so if you're unsure, visit the information desk at the airport.
There is no free water. The fridge is stocked, but they charge around $4 (£1.50) per small bottle of water.

General comments: The Allson hotel in Singapore is a good hotel with quiet and working air conditioning, which means you will get some sleep.

Decent sized rooms with satellite TV, fridge (buy water, tea bags milk etc from the shop next door to the hotel. It's cheaper). Shower, bath, toilet, reasonable storage, tea/coffee making facilities, rooms cleaned daily, but you can stay in the room until 2pm without any fuss if you want to.

If you want Pubs, bars or night clubs, visit the CHIJMES complex just down the road, or get a taxi to MUDDY MURPHYS PUB in the ORCHARD HOTEL, or Mohammed Sultan Rd where there are a number of pubs. CLARKE QUAY has good eating and drinking facilities.
