Good Points: Creatively challenging
Bad Points: Long working hours, with many deadlines in the same period.
General comments: An exhibition designer needs a qualification in 3D design, ideally spatial, and they need to understand the brand of clients. It has a fast project turnover, and it is highly challenging, as the clients' brand have to stand out from hundreds of thousands of competitors in the same venue. Each client is different, therefore you will never be bored.
You will need to travel, and you can get into all exhibitions, big and small for free.
You may have to work long hours as deadlines of various projects tend to be at the same period. You must also be very aware of costing, as some clients have a very tight budget.
