“Front door - Poor After care”

Moved into new purchased property a couple of years ago and were notified that a “quality” new front door had been installed by Everest and would be under guarantee if there were any problems. Well within a year we started have issues where the door would get jammed when it was warm got locked out a few times. “Still waiting!!”

In January we had a new garage door and back door fitted by Everest. There were some problems with the fitting which still have not been sorted.Everest seem to be proactive at the point of sale but any other contact has always had to be initiated by ourselves. We were told in June that a part had been ordered for the back door. “Aftercare service has gone to the toilet”

This response from the "company" is clearly provided by a robot. The alternative is that the company thinks we are daft. Do you really think I haven't already sent a message to customer [dot] relations [at] everest [dot] co [dot] uk about this? Really? I even mentioned in my review above that I sent Everest a message, and received no response. I don't think anyone from Everest actually READS these reviews. Their response is identical, no matter what the review says. Further evidence that the company lacks any real customer service, whatsoever.

Appalling service unless it is a sales call they do not really want to know. Unless you complain you do not get a appointment and then it will be for about three weeks ahead. however you will be luck if their engineer or representative turns up. Contact the ceo, his PA will reply to your email & things do seem to get sorted out I hope this helps as I'm still trying to get my mothers appalling installation sorted out with baby steps one window at a time seems is all they can manage. They are definitely not THE BEST & I think they should be banned from using that in all advertising

I also agree with you regarding them being the best; it is false. I have seen an installation being done by a local family firm and the attention to detail and the way they worked was superb. Next time do your research and use the best local firm.

“Custer service and after sales is appalling”

My parents are in their nineties and, unbeknown to me at the time, chose to have some replacement doors and windows from Everest. I would have advised them to go to someone else. They were sold a product that was not fit for purpose. Everest took their money, they were charged an extortionate amount, and my husband has now taken up the case on their behalf. Hi, my mother has just done the same as your parents all of the Windows & patio door have issues. The man in charge of the fitters just takes the Micky as 4 failed turn ups to rectify the bay window, so I emailed the CEOs of Everest, low & behold his PA got hold of the right people & window was refitted, still has an issue regarding lead work under cill but looks better than before so try emailing him. I hope this helps

These windows are much dearer than those offered by their nearest rivals but their claims of excellent after-sales service convinced us to go with them anyway when we wished to replace 13 windows (many of them large) and our front door. “5 months and still no windows!”

I sent this to customer service at everest  on 9th August and have had no response... To whom it may concern, I have tried on several occasions to phone your Customer Services to no avail. We were booked for an appointment 26th and 27th May and had made it clear that we were going away on Saturday 28th. Well am i glad i looked on this review page. I ordered and paid my deposit in march. I was promised a 6 week turnaround. And my window and door would be in. August 26th i havent heard that they are coming to do them. I found i had to wait for the surveyor who after many reminders came. He assured me they would fast track this order. I received a form to sign but the handles and fittings were crome not gold as i ooriginall ordered. I was told in june that the devon office had closed and scotland was dealing with the orders now. Around brexit vote time.

I am going to call them today and ask for my deposit back with interest and go with another company. I need to get on with my plans of securing my home delayed by 6 months discusting.

My 86 year old mother has just been tricked into paying £2383 for the replacement of 1 upvc window. She was approached in morrisons and had a saleperson at her door in 35mins. “Repair No-Show!”

I am appalled at the service I have failed to receive from Everest Windows. I moved into my property 3 years ago and each window has a little Everest sticker on it, so when one of the windows was damaged they were my first port of call. It was £35 to even get a call out booked, and then the first available appointment was also 6 weeks into the future. I never had an order reference number, which is just ONE MORE EXAMPLE OF THE PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU OFFERED. I've now taken my custom to a lovely local firm who were not only available within a week of me phoning them, but they actually showed up and everything. So you lot can do one.

THis is similar to my experience reported on this site. Write in to BBC Tadio 4's You and Yours about this. They carried an item last week with similar complaints. I hope lots of is will write in urging the programme to carry out an in depth inquiry into Everest non existent aftercare.

“What yousee in the brochure is not what you get”

In November 2014we moved to a house that had Everest D G at the front elevation. We did obtain other quotes some half the price of Everest D G, but, as we are older clients and has saved £20000 to move we gave Everest D G £12,000. “Patio door - What a disaster !”

We have purchased four windows and a patio door from Everest Ltd. We believe that the products were installed by inexperienced engineers. The patio door has given us significant problems. Specifically the wooden floor by the patio door has lifted due to poor installation and insulation. Just to let the public know, I received from the ASA the following response about Everest advertising on the 17/10/14 " In this case, on the basis that we considered it to be an objective claim and that they, on that basis, did not believe that they could provide adequate substantiation for it, the advertiser agreed to remove the claim “our professional teams are the best in the business.” As far as our procedures and aim of preventing consumers being misled in the future go, this is the end of the matter and, unless it is brought to our attention that the advertiser has repeated the claim or one of a substantially similar meaning, we will not be taking any further action. It was put on their web site at the time. Perhaps people that feel they have been misled by adverts should raise it as a complaint with the Advertising Standards Authority.

“Still leaking after 10 years”

This was a very expensive conservatory but we thought we were buying the best. A good job was done initially with the windows although the attention to detail could have been better. The roof where the conservatory joins the house has always leaked. “Good products: careless installation: appalling service.”

I have no issue with the quality of Everest's products. I bought three timber doors and nine timber windows from them in two separate, consecutive orders. With the first order an incorrect door was delivered and the mistake only made good nine weeks after the initial installation. I have had an independent engineers report carried out at a cost of £360, which has stated Everest have contravened building regulations by not putting lintels over 3 gable end window openings.Everest have self certified the installation as meeting building regs???!!! Needless to say that as the integrity of the building has been compromised, I have had the remedial work completed, but wouldn't let their incompetent firm back on site for that or any of the other many faults in the report. I am currently in the process of taking legal action for replacement units that were not fit for purpose. Hope more dissatisfied customers follow up with this type of action. Good luck!!

I disagree with this statement completely. The Windows I ordered and agreed with the rep was nothing like what I ordered and I have had to pay another company to move what was potentially hazardous windows from first floor apatures to ground floor as when the Windows are openned their shear weight is capable of pulling a small child out of the window and for safety reasons they should never have been fitted above ground level and were nothing like what I actually ordered. If you need Windows you are better off using a local company or doing it yourself as Everest is no longer the company it was and is now the worst interested only in you signing loan agreements that benefit them.

Just to let you know, I have taken legal advice as I have had problems with the installation carried out by Everest. As I funded part of the £15.5k cost by Barclay's partner finance at high interest rates, I am also going to seek compensation from them as the goods and service supplied is not fit for purpose and has had to be redone.

I suspect this review was written by an Everest employee as this bears no resemblance to the service I received before during or after the affect. The quality of their product is appauling, their doors are a disgrace and although I have requested mine be adjusted they fail to respond so now I tend to no longer use that door as once it is openned I am no longer able to shut it without the help of a hammer
