Dear customer service manager,
unfortunately I am writing to you a formal letter of complaint.
I wish to inform you of how unhappy I am with the level of service I have been provided from your company.
During the renovation of my property I chose Everest due to the high quality standards I have previously experienced and heard lots about. This in my case has however changed.
I ordered a conservatory, 2 x garage doors, the flat roof over the garage to be re-done, a UPVC porch and front door and a full roof line totalling over £46,000.
First of all upon installation of the roof line when applying the fascia board I witnessed the builders apply the fascia over a rotten rafter, I pointed out to them that this was rotten and needed changing before putting the new fascias up, which was agreed when ordering the roof line.
Secondly on the day of the installation of the garage doors, the installers told me the lintels above the garage doors needed to be changed, I needed to move the gas meeter or cut the rail of the garage door runner, I needed to get 2 plug sockets installed, there would be a 2 ' gap under one of the doors when closed and finally I would not be able to park my van in the garage due to the doors hanging lower than the previous ones, all these problems should surly have been pointed out to me prior to me agreeing to the contract when the surveyor inspected the property. I would have had all these additions ready before your builders came to carry out their work like the rest of the property, this is now going to delay matters even more for me.
Thirdly when I first enquired about having a conservatory built on the back of my house with the pad and planning already been approved I was advised that it would take no longer than 4 " 6 weeks maximum, I also rang up and made the same inquiry whilst pretending to be a new customer and was given the same answer, so why after 15 weeks have I only just within the last 2 days had my conservatory started. I have rang a number of times asking if I could get this ASAP due to this covering my new kitchen which meant that I have had no kitchen facilities for nearing 20 weeks. This has caused me the most amount of stress as a family of 5 trying to eat and live normally with out a big part of their house been usable, we have had to rely on neighbours, friends and family to help provide food, now every time I think about the area within my house it just reminds me of how much stress its causing myself and family. I can not believe a conservatory would ever take this long. I would understand if every piece of it was been hand made in oak.
Finally at the side of my house seemed to be the destination of choice of where your builders decided to throw their equipment including ladders fascia boards and all the rest of the products, this has now caused damage to my lawn and planting area.
I pointed the out, that I was having a big family party, where people are coming from around the world to my house on 14th June, I asked if his workers could put some overtime in to at least put a roof over my kitchen area to help accommodate the 80 guests, but I was told the workers refused to work on the weekend. You'd expect the workers to bend over backwards to help a customer who's spending over £46,000 in this climate.
Is this what I should come to expect from such a well established company like yours?
When will my property be finished?
Least to say I am disappointed with the service I have received, and look forward to hearing of some form of act of goodwill to help sort this matter.

If you need double glazing, a conservatory or indeed any improvements around your home employ a good local builder. I made the mistake of employing Everest or perhaps I suspect a team of subbies!!
The build standard was appalling and it took two different fitters 3 days to dismantle and rebuild the structure to a better standard. Even then it was riddled with basic poor workmanship errors. Five months into the guarantee and the locks on the French windows have seized; we cannot get out of the ...

Everest Windows are by far the worse company I have ever used, I would never use Everest again. My windows needed several visits to be put right and still they are haggling with me over compensation, when its there product and there fitting of it that has caused the problems. I cannot advise people strongly enough to avoid the so called best, if this is the best then I would rather have plastic sheets over my windows.

Everest first quoted £28,000 which then with several discounts fell to £11,600 for 11 windows and patio doors. The salesman tried to get us to take on a loan but we decided not to. The windows were ready early and instead of taking 4 days they said they would send 2 teams and get it done in 2 days. The salesman said no mess and the majority of mess wasoutside which my husband, who had major surgery last year for cancer and chemotherapy only 2 months previous, had to get on flat ...

It took 7 months from ripping my old patio doors out to complete the fitting. For most of the winter I had a large gap through which snow blew (and settled) my gas bill was huge as the heating had to be on all the time. They never had the right parts and everything was a trial and disaster. I wasted several days leave being home when they turned up and couldn't complete. Not one word of apology from anyone.
Everest Windows are rubbish don't touch them with a barge pole.

Ordered conservatory from Everest on 30.12.08 at slightly (5%) discounted price if we signed on the day, we agreed and paid deposit. After 2 prompt and professional visits by surveyor and plans agreed, received letter on 13.2.09 advising project had been under-costed and we would be contacted to discuss way forward by us making a contribution towards the under-costing. After making several chase up calls and texts, we were finally contacted by original salesman on 27.03.09 who said he would get ...

I just wanted a quote. I liked the product - it wasn't the cheapest. If the salesman had just given me a realistic quote I would have signed, but he went through the whole 'phoning the office' thing. Yeah, like anyone falls for that! Now I won't have Everest to do the work on principle. The salesman lost himself a sale by not listening to the customer.

Everest Windows are not too hot in the summer and not cold at all in the winter.
The quality and the fitting. I found both to be of superior quality than other conservatories that I have seen
The Everest Windows do not return any phone calls. After ringing about 4 times I contacted the sales person who sorted the problem out straight away. So good and bad.

Everest made an appointment to install windows which we have in our front room for nearly a week, they didnt turn up!. Phoned them and was told its not in the book, what a mess! The window installed in our bedroom has been done really bad, the main window is not placed correctly and the casing has been damaged and stuck back together. What a mess!

To put my experiences in to context, we chose Everest because of the 'good' name it has acquired over time which one tends to equate with quality of product and service. The initial consultation with the sales man in November 2007 was professional and I have no complaints about this. Having ordered 8 products at a cost of £7611, a deposit of £381 was duly made leaving an outstanding balance of £7230 to be paid via the Everest Home Account. An installation date was eventually ...

The windows from Everest Windows are nice but the sills are finished with stick on edges which keep coming off, not very professional! Almost a year later I am waiting for internal damage to three rooms to be sorted. They will not respond other than demand the £1000 I withheld. The damage to my property is far more, yet they will not respond to my letters and emails.
Many things were left unfinished and appointments made which Everest didn't turn up for.I wasted a lot of time off waiting ...

The Everest timber sliding sash, having an "E" WER Energy Rating, is one of the lowest performing, in terms of energy efficiency, of the double glazed timber sliding sash design available on the market. There are several other companies in the UK who offer the same traditional design with higher thermal performance, but I chose Everest because when I was buying the windows they said to me that they didn't offer any windows with lower than a "B" energy rating -- this turned out to be true, but ve ...

Installation craftsmen (?) OK friendly and fairly efficient. All our problems were with the supply of compoent parts not Everest, Wrong items supplied three times, and we wasted days waiting for people to arrive. Dreadful customer support. No resonse when promised, huge delays, We opted for a wooden porch, the supply was subcontracted, the installers were NOT carpenters which showed after installation. The 'rectification' man was obviously fed up with picking up on bad workmanship and hostile cu ...

We had a bay window fitted in 2006 by Everest Windows with a sash opening.
The fitters took an afternoon to do the job.Shortly afterwards we noticed the window would not open. Some weeks later another team arrived an attempted a repair. This was to prove the start of a very long running saga.
Our decorator noticed light coming throung under the sill, and was scathing about the workmanship.
It was to be almost 12 months before the window was finally made 'good'.
We had a succession of fitters coming ...

With Everest all the workmen who have attended the site (with the exception of the electricians who I thought seemed rude) have been excellent. The product in general seems to be good (so far). However, I feel as though I've been messed around by Everest. I've found their customer service to be disappointing - I don't think they know the meaning of the word and they seem to have very little project management. Their literature says there will be site visits to assess the progress. No one has ...
