In 4 weeks time we are booked in to have all our windows replaced by Everest, two 7 window bays, one 3 window bay and 3 windows at the back. My wife and I have had dealings with 3 double glazing firms in the past and it was with much trepidation that I invited the sales man in. But, he turned out to be a human being (very rare I know). “100% Diabolic - avoid like the plague!”

The salesman took me for a ride (well and truly) - ended up with a 22% apr loan to pay for something I could have paid cash for. Late starting. Struggled to finish (workmen didn't seem to know what they were doing - no guidence from Everest - they were subcontractors who eventually waled anyway). Conservatory leaked - took three seperate attempts to fix. Promised returned calls from Everest that never happened. “Stay Well away they are borderline criminals”

They claim they are the best, they're not You're paying BMW prices for a ford Ka Not much technology goes into PVC windows so big price differences cant be justified. As a contractor i have the unfortunate job of fixing the problems of these windows and telling people they have been ripped. Stay with the locals you get the best windows, profiles etc with a reasonable price. a £300 window from a local would cost £1300 from everest and the £300 one is far superior (read more)

Oh my God....how I wish I had read all these reviews/complaints earlier! We had no choice but go to everest, or so we thought, as we are in the BAA scheme. We have been completely ripped off! we have spent thousands with them and now have damage structually, which of course they deny is their doing. That of course was after complaining to them for three months not receiving phone calls when they said they would ring, not turning up when they said they would and then finally being told it is my word against theirs! How can a minnow fight a shark?!

Our windows are designed and tested to keep more heat inside the home where it matters - this is achieved by incorporating a range of features, but the most important part to look out for is the energy rating. Our windows have achieved ratings of up to A+10 - much higher than the minimum C rating for replacement windows.

We also test our windows for security, testing them to British Standards. Our windows quite often exceed the requirements by some margin, again, thanks to a number of features that we include as standard.

We encourage anyone in the market for replacement windows to consider what's most important to them, whether it's warmth, security or any other factor and to think carefully about their budget. There are a lot of options out there, so it can take time to find the best product for your needs.

The two guys arrived bang on 9am, they presented clean considering the job they do, in the past I have found people to appear covered in mastic. I bought a brand new UPVC door from Everest in December 2012 that cost two and a half thousand pounds. During the cold months of Dec '12/Jan '13/Feb '13 and March 2013 it was working perfectly. I had exactly the same thing with a Zenith front door and they did not believe me either. It was fine when the weather was below about 12C but as soon as the sun came out and the temperature rose .. door wouldn't shut and if it did shut it wouldn't open again.

I think it's double glazed doors in general and would never have one again.

This company has really upset me. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. I rarely write anything on the internet in the public domain, but they deserve to have their tactics uncovered. The sales rep persuaded me to buy a uPVC door for £1,500. That's quite pricey, if you look online you can buy them much cheaper than that. “Terrible Service!! They don't even return Calls!”

I too have had similar response (or no response should I say) regarding a lock on my front door. However, someone did come out - but someone who did not work for Everest as they sub-contract and then was hit for a bill of £102 for the guy coming out, but couldn't even fix the door. We were not told of any call out charges and were astonished that this bill came to us. We have later found out that the door was originally fitted by Everest, but the lock on the door, was a Stormseal lock and was made specifically for Stormseal which is now no longer available as is Stormseal and we cannot just get the lock fixed, we now have to have a new door, but on top of that, because the door is attached to the frame set, we would have to have the whole lot replaced!!!!!

The actual product was good. However, the quality of fitting was terrible. We spent £14,000 on new windows and a bi-fold door in August 2012. They have been back 12 times since to rectify faults. The worst part of this company is that apart from the customer inspecting the product/workmanship, there is absolutely no quality control whatsoever. After getting quotes from 3 firms 2 national & 1 local we chose Everest on the basis of value for money. The salesman was upfront and clear and demonstrated the product simply, without any oversell as the product really sold itself, excellent security and its insulation performance was easily better than the competition. Thank you for your reply to this post. In view of past experience I am reluctant to call once again on a premium rate number only to be told that someone will call back. That rarely happens.

I don't know if anyone is following this tread but in the interests of fairness and balance: the day after my last post I received a call from them. He confirmed that someone had authorised the fitting of a new door and that the local office would be in touch. They phoned the same afternoon to say a surveyor would be calling today (Thursday 18th). He's just left. We now have on order a door of our choosing from the latest range.
It just shows it can be done but what a lot of wasted grief. So thanks to [name removed] and his pals in the backside kicking department but mostly it shows the value of social networking media such as this website. Five stars for the Review Centre.

I have got to say, nothing I have read here surprises me. I have never in my life dealt with such a couldn't care less attitude. As I said in a previous comment, this company is staffed with liars and fools. If I was a senior manager in this company, I would crawl off and die with shame. They are at the stage where they are now blatantly lying to customers. I regret the day I ever got involved with them. Poor customer service from the very beginning. We arranged an appointment for a quote online. We received the standard email confirming the appointment, and we told someone would be in touch to confirm a time. This phone call never happened. So we stayed home for the whole three hour time slot. Low and behold nobody turned up! Word of advise, do not even bother with this company. I'll call tomorrow, (Friday), making you the 7th person I've spoken to, concerning this, and they have all said they will deal with it! Just to give you an example: one girl told me they were waiting for parts to come from abroad. she also told me it had only been 4 weeks!!!
She said the reason no one had been in touch was because there was nothing to tell me!!
Another girl told me Gary was trying to source a resin, and she didn't understand why anyone would say parts from abroad were required, as this was definitely not the case.
A chap called Alan told me he would be "firing off an email immediately", to sort this out, and would phone me back the same day. to let me know what was happening. Needless to say, he didn't. A complete and utter shambles. It is obvious that having obtained my £13,500 Everest have lost interest in me. I wonder how I would have been treated if they were still due money from me? Honestly, how would you describe this fiasco? Good customer service? I think Everest is full of liars and fools, and I will never buy anything from them again, nor would I recommend them to anyone, quite the opposite.

“Discounts”

I would assume most Everest reps that start life with the company are honest and reputable. The problem is they wont last very long! The company supply leads, or the rep goes knocking on doors to get their own. If they dont supply leads, you are on your own! The initial price they give is absolutely extortionate! They will have 'price conditioned' you into thinking it is a good deal, maybe. They then start to discount, 10% here, 10% there, extra 5%. If you push really hard, you can get to... (read more)

Being that I used to work with Everest about 12 months ago. I learned everything they taught me. Yes they do have the best products and guarantees which are not matched by any other company. All other companies want to be Everest and try to make their products look like Everest but without the quality. So they are the most expensive. “Delayed but good”

My door was fitted well. But there was a delay in the fitting date three times. Once was my fault due to illness, the other snow, but the final was due to the fitter going to the afternoon appointment in my morning slot!! I was not happy. To cut a long story short he was very vague about where the 50% discount fit in as specified on the flier that had been posted through our letter box. you obviously had an inexperienced salesman who never explained the difference between inferior fascia's and soffits that actually only keep their colour for short periods. I also imagine that he/she never mentioned the fact that when all was taken off that they would check for any rot and treat accordingly so that your roof structure is not compromised by any future rotting and that they actually have a profile which is wider than any other manufacturer even the so called jumbo fascia is not as wide.... I bought mine from Everest 15 years ago and my neighbours laughed at me for paying so much but as they are proud people they eventually changed them again from between 5 - 10 years well mine still shine like brand new and as i'm staying here till I drop then I can already see that I made a wise investment . short foot note I was a builder for 30 years and realised the quality especially after ripping out so much rubbish over the years.

If you are prepared to pay that bit extra then Everest are worth getting in touch with. The salesmen are not pushy (not the ones I dealt with)and if they had been they would have left without a sale, so I listened. Conned by the sales man. Miss-sold the finance deal - verbally stated that cash back amount would be deducted from overall amount. Likewise verbally informed no interest to pay if loan cleared in first year - a lie (I had signed up for 22APR loan which cost me £1500 in interest). A quick update on the conservatory - in the strong Easterly wind we are having today it is letting in rain water yet again!! At least the letter box isn't leaking today, that only happens when the wind is from the West (which is the prevailing direction, unfortunately). I'm going to have to tape over it and fit a letter box in the outside wall.
