Good Points: The Salesman (he can come back any time) and the 2nd person assessing another part of the job, i.e. removal of porch door.
Bad Points: Management in my local branch, hard to get hold of, seem to be constantly on holidays?! Little communication, no offer for compensation of any kind.
General comments: Used Everest Windows. First of all wrong door delivered - no contact was made by everest to resolve this problem, so I had to chase them.
Then the fitter was wrongly instructed; 2nd holiday day wasted.
Now awaiting installation soon with some bad feelings & grumbling, we will not not not recommend everest & won't have them install the planned new windows.
To me they are the Fiat panda of the door world, not the Mercedes as they claim.

Final price was higher than quoted price with Everest and it took almost 6 months from signing agreement to fitting house. Various doors don't close properly - cumbersome and awkward finance package - paying cash is more expensive?!

It has left me feeling that Everest were mainly interested in getting my money and new orders, but I feel I have little to show for what I paid. Would NEVER use them again.

Everest Windows showed me the worst service I have ever encountered in my life.
The worker didn't turn up on the day of installation and when I phoned the office people, they didn't know where they were either. The receptionist apologised.
Then the next appt I made also cancelled as they came at wrong time (2 hours early).
Financial documents are all came very quickly, but so far I have not seen a good delivery of product yet.

Everest Windows offered good value for money, good quality product, good quality workmanship in fitting. Took 2 days to fit front door and 7 windows, 3 of which were continental style 'tilt and turn'.

Missing 'trim' delayed the installation, no windowsill for months, REALLY bad plastering 'making good'. Harwood windows scratched and chipped! I had to pay a builder to rectify as I just could not deal with them any longer and anyway each time they come it's still not sorted.

I was quoted one price by Everest Windows, then given the current discounts, agreed the price, surveyor came next week and the doors were fitted 6 weeks later, couple of small hitches, but the local branch sorted them out without any fuss.

Like a lot of this type of company always claim that what they offer is superior to their competitors, wouldn't recommend.

I complained to Everest Windows that they gave a sales misrepresentation of their product, but they simply said there was no evidence to support my claim. Since I had in good faith paid the balance in full upon completion of installation I am left with no choice but to pursue Everest through the various consumer protection bodies and the Advertising Standards Authority in order to obtain evidence that their sales promotion and supporting advertising literature misinformed me.My advice: only proc ...

Very poor. 3 months later we are still waiting for our windows, after much chasing up! I've completely lost confidence in them and am worried about the fitting.

After using Everest Windows, I would recommend anyone contemplating building works to use a local firm having first spoken to customers who have had work carried out by the firm that they are contemplating using and of course viewing the work.

I have had over four jobs done with everest home improvement. Customer service was very fantastic and they did good jobs in my properties. A company I will always trust and recommend to people as they do provide value for money.

Do not use Everest. They took 37 weeks to fit our windows and it should have taken 1 week. We made goodwill payments along the way in return for assurances they would finish the work within a reasonable period of time and they didn't do this. They are now adding on late payment fees and interest 4 business days after they claim they are due payment so we will pay the residual balance outstanding without offering any compensation for the extraordinary delays in fitting the windows. All this, and ...

I called to see my elderly parents a few days ago to find that a nice feller from Everest had offered to arrange new roofing for their garage, 12m2 in total so a good quality felt job would cost about £400. Everest started with a figure of £4578 but offered a generous discount of 37% and left with a signed contract and a cheque for £559 as deposit! Fortunately we got the cheque cancelled and returned the contract.

We wanted a quote for two external doors which from local quotes we expected to be between £2,000 to £3,000. We wanted UPVC wooden finish which from Everest's fall range you get to pick from three doors. Because they buy in their products they come in standard sizes, for us this meant that as our front door is smaller than standard it would be bodged to fit. Leaving us with a over sizes door in a very thin frame. They tell you about their great warranty but these are contracted out ...

After ordering a conservatory from Everest Windows in July '06 I am still awaiting completion. [Feb '08]
This is a tale of broken promises [calls never returned, letters never replied to].
Faulty workmanship [walls rejected by building control].
Cracked and scratched glass panels.
Failure to communicate with the glass panel manufactures [8 attempts to order the same piece of glass - still waiting]
Leaking roof panels [ now requires that the roof panels [12] be removed and resealed.]

Be very careful with any loan agreements provided by Everest.
Get second opinion from local glazier as to whether the repair work Everest say are required are really required.
Be wary of the salesmans technique of inflating the price to say '£4,000 then reducing this with "discounts" to say '£2,500

This is my third lot of double glazing from Everest and I am perfectly happy with their product and workmanship. You just have to play them at their own game until you get a decent price.
Anything other than windows appears to be beyond their level of competency and my advice includes the proverbial bargepole!

Eventually got what I wanted, but only because the subcontracted fitters did what I wanted and not what they had been told to do by Everest. The whole process was a nightmare. The original salesman didn't speak English very well and had no real knowledge of the products. At one stage he was silent for ten minutes while looking through his folder. Had to wait six months for something I was told would take six weeks. After three months, fitters turned up with wrong bricks and when I called their o ...
