I've had my Wii for about a year and absolutely love it! I have a great time playing the family friendly Mario games, while my wife loves using the Wii to connect to netflix. We have definitely gotten our money out of this purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who just wants a good time. I would not recommend this product to hardcore gamers, but anyone can have fun with the Wii. (read more)

Terrible terrible graphics. Lousy range of games. All it is is entertainment for 6 year olds not adults. Wii fit is good at first but becomes very boring. Worst game console to buy, get a playstation 3! PS3's are the best gaming consoles at this moment in time! The graphics for the ps3 are incredible and you get a blue ray player with it! (read more)

Nintendo's brilliant attemp at anew console for the ever expanding gaming world this time nintendo have chosen to give a new way of playing and they done this in an incredible way. There is a huge range of immersive and exciting games to choose from. I have nearly 25 games and counting every one has been incredible. I would suggest buying first party games (games from nintendo)as 90% of the best games in my opinion are first party. These are my favourite: animal crossing lgttc, super smash... (read more)

I must say the Nintendo Wii was a great idea when it came out - a sort of games console for the non-games market. I had mainly sports games on it and found it thoroughly enjoyable. Unlike other games consoles I've had (ps2, megadrive etc) I dont think Ive ever played it on my own - its a very socialable games consoles and I only used to get it out when friends came round.
That's the good stuff.
The bad points are that it doesnt work that well any more! The handsets dont connect very... (read more)

The Nintendo Wii is a fantastic and fun gaming console, for all the family! The range of games suit everyone's needs, from the more experienced serious gamer, to the occasional user who wants to have a bit of fun.
What i particularly like about the Wii is the interactivity you have with the games. Whether you're playing tennis with a friend, shooting an enemy with the gun, or rocking to some great songs with a bunch of mates, the accessories included with most games actually make you... (read more)

We purchased a Wii and Wii Fit for our children (10, 12 & 15 yrs old) as a Christmas gift... about 15 hours of use later, the console died. I have been reading more and more about the Wii console having "issues" and I wonder how it is that they were able to charge so much for something that, literally, worked for only 15 hours of use?!!! We are waiting for our "fixed" console to arrive via UPS! We will see how long it will work this time! I am a disappointed Wii owner (until they return... (read more)

Overall my kids like the Wii although my eldest seems to keep going back to his Xbox. Easy to use, small, connects wifi easily, games limited especially for older teenagers, mine are 14/16 both get quite bored after a while.
If the PS3 was cheaper would have one of those instead, not recommended unless you have younger children, DS users will like. (read more)

The Wii is a very fun console. The movement feature is also great. If you have the correct games, the wii is the best gaming console ever made in my opinion, the only problem with the wii is that it doesn't have a lot good games. Most games are pathetic. Also graphics could be better. (read more)

I advise you to not get a Nintendo Wii yes they are fun, but after the first few weeks it gets very boring, If your looking for a good console get either an Xbox 360, or a Playstation 3. They don't have a very good range of games, it gets very boring. Its not very good for racing games only sports games that use the motion senser. Its would be amazing if they got a better range of games like Gta and stuff and brought out a better controller for racing games and the original isnt a very... (read more)

When I FINALY managed to get hold of the famous Wii, set it up and started gaming, it was soo easy to understand. The Nintendo Wii is a great system that allows you to be part of the game with all the Wii remote actions and techniques, it is so intense you actually really sweat. The graphics are great for the system for a lot of games like Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, Resident Evil 4, The Sims 2 Castaway and many more. The Nintendo Wii is completely original and extremely good fun. Despite what some may say the game range is quite good and will undoubtedly get considerably better in time. How much fun is the Wii? A lot I can tell you. We've got just about every console ever released dotted around the house, but the Wii is the only console that the whole family plays. My girlfriend is normally the kind of person that would rather watch someone else play than play herself. The Wii however has changed that. She only really plays Wii Sports (that comes with the console), but it's a start! As I'm a bit of a retro fan, I plan on killing two birds with one stone when the Sonic and... (read more)

Well, what can I say. Its the best technology console in the gaming industry. I thought I would review the Nintendo Wii now as I have had a chance to use it since Christmas. The console is quality and small, very neat and the controller is ace!! This is a truly revolutionary console. Yes I know the graphics looks pathetic against the PS3/XBOX 360, but they will allow the couch potatoes to get fatter and fatter. The Wii uses motion sensors in the control units, giving a far greater degree of control. You no longer have to remember how to do that combo move, instead just do it!

This console will have, maybe, won the console war over the PS3 and XBOX 360 as it is the only one with a good motion sensitive system. Yes and I know what you PS3ers will be saying "the PS3 is motion sensitive too" but i just don't think it is as good and fun to use as the wii. I must emphasize, also how good the value for money is for the wii- £180 with everything you need and wii sports. What does the PS3 cost? £420 WITHOUT a game. At a time when sales of LCD and Plasma screens are huge why has Nintendo dropped out of the race? Having looked up the specs on the web it seems that the old XBox has higher specs all round (memory, CPU and graphics) and the difference between the Wii and the Gamecube isn't staggering. The controllers however are inventive and fun, allowing anyone to play, even those who aren't traditional video games fans. The price is low and makes this an ideal second games machine. I've had a Wii since the UK launch night and have played on it pretty much every single day since then, and am still enjoying it. It truly lives up to it's development codename, "Revolution".
The range of launch games found in shops is pretty poor, but a quick glance on online retailers and eBay shows that the lineup is in fact a lot stronger than many realise, with games ranging from family fun like Rayman Raving Rabbids to more "classic gamer" first person shooters such as Call of Duty...
