I haven't use the Philips DVD-R but I have used the CD-R and it is quite OK. There were skips but so as other brands. DVD is different, but can't directly charge Philips for it.

Out of a spool of 25 DVD-R blank discs I have got 13 coasters.
I have sent Phillips an email over 10 days ago and am still waiting a reply. Please don't buy these discs. The retailer I bought these from was Comet. (read more)
