The service rep asked me to email him the details and he personally added the beneficiary for me, saving me the hassle. I've been using this service for over a year to send money for mortgage in France. The rates are very good. I can use it in minutes from my desk and it's been 100% reliable. The payments arrive in good time and the whole thing is simple, as all the settings are saved. Hello, I transferred 140000 € into british £. I was a bit worried initially but everything went fine. World First will tell you what is the exact exchange rate that will be applied to your transaction. This means that even if the rates change all the time you know at any given moment how much you will pay for your transfer. The will take a fee at around 0.8% over the exchange rate which in my opinion is a fair fee. The main stream banks will not let you know in advance what are the fees... (read more)

I have just completed my first money transfer with World First having previously just used my bank to transfer funds to France. Set up was easy and my contact (name removed) was extremely helpful. The transfer itself was completed in less than 24 hours and the costs involved were considerably less than I have paid before and the rate was also better. Excellent service and definitely 5 stars!

A modest £10 is charged for amounts less than £10,000 and the exchange rates are the closest to the interbank exchange rates, enabling the company to offer a best rate guarantee. My only concern ( it's not a complaint) was that I was nervous working with a third party , rather that a direct transfer of funds from bank to bank. We’re sorry to hear that your recent experience wasn't up to your expectations. At World First we try very hard to make sure that our customers understand that when they transact with us, by phone or on our online platform, they are entering into a contract. Because exchange rates constantly fluctuate our systems will automatically and immediately buy the required currency on behalf of our clients once they agree to a rate. Once we have passed this point, and a client subsequently decides to change their mind and pull out or cancel a transaction, we are in a situation where we have to reverse the contract i.e. sell back the bought currency. Depending on whether and in which direction exchange rates have moved we may incur a cost to sell back the bought currency (the difference between the two rates) and these charges have to be passed on to the client if they no longer wish to fulfill the obligations of the contract they have entered in to. All of this information is made fully and clearly available to all our online clients when they register, and this kind of policy is standard across the industry. We are very disappointed that you feel you've had a bad experience, but as you can see we have a very transparent procedure for clients to adhere to when it comes to making online transfers, and we have never had any problems in the past.
