Good Points: Local rate phone number to a real person.Kept to their word
General comments: Had a good experience with this company. My initial stock enquiry was followed up with a return phone call and despite the order being placed after 5pm it still came the next day as promised. The wrong memory card was delivered but after a quick phone call the correct one was sent and came the very next day.

Ordered GPS on Wednesday from Handtec www.handtec.co.ukwith next day delivery. Did not arrive Thursday so phoned Friday. Pleasantly and politely told of a problem with stock monitoring so not available. Very apologetic. Spoke to manager who checked stock, found correct model, refunded postage and paid extra for next day delivery on Saturday. Arrived 0850 that morning. Yes there was a mess up but it was promptly and correctly dealt with to everyone's satisfaction. Will use again because of this.

Bought copilot 7 sat-nav software for pocket pc. Maps out of date - major road change locally 4 years ago not mentioned, other roads do not appear, other roads misleading (e.g. says keep right when you drive past a left side-road). Handtec do not accept returns of opened software. So no way of seeing if software does what it should and if you are unhappy, tough.

I've ordered a screen protector from Handtec www.handtec.co.uk. The screen protector that arrived with the main package was wrong. I had to send it back and paid for special delivery because Handtec wouldn't provide a return envelope. They sent another screen protector in exchange. Yet AGAIN it was for another model even though I provided detailed instructions!!!! Now they are asking me to contact their customer service, but I just don't want to spend my further time and money for something that ...

Having spent my own time sorting this out i would not buy of handtec again. I could go on at length but what would be the point . The only thing i will say is handtec you are very lucky im busy with other things. I had a problem with carphone warehouse who ended up giving me more back than i spent i believe in direct action and it worked with them.

Prompt efficient service at Handtec- Sales team appeared interested in answering my questions and when asked one they couldn't immediately answer, they didn't 'blag' it but put me on hold while checking for me. During the sale process the Credit Card site went down, I was told I would be phoned back immediately it was back online, and they were as good as their word.
Like many others I've shopped around for this item and found that Handtec offer the best all-round value in a competitive market. ...

I found that they had the best prices, and the website was also nice to use. I had an issue with a Mio P550 PDA, as it was not picking up GPS signals. I had it returned, and Handtec replaced it in 2 days. It seems most people have an issue with couriers rather than with Handtec.
Recommended. 5 Stars.

I have been looking to put a good review for Handtec. I have been let down by other sites in the past, but these guys are well recommended - 5 stars! Brilliant advice, very fast delivery and importantly, the best prices online! Superb service!

Handtec is a company that I had not heard of before, so I was a little anxious to pay the £300 for my Mio c710 sat nav, not knowing really what to expect. I ordered it over the phone (had to wait about 1 min only, in que) and was told that it would be delivered in 2-3 days. This order was after 2pm on a working day. Placed an order with Handtec. After a few days when nothing had arrived I checked the website - it said 'Order Failed'. They hadn't bothered to let me know despite having my email address and phone number. When I phoned to enquire about it the person I spoke to was rude and uninterested. Recommend you purchase elsewhere.

It's a shame sometimes that what appears to be such a good professional service lets itself down when you raise a problem with Handtec.
I ordered a Sat Nav system, which according to Handtec's own website came with a power adapter. The unit was supplied without one, so I contacted them asking for my purchase to be supplied to the spec promised, but they stopped replying to my emails.

I spent a good part of Wednesday night and Thursday morning checking prices online for Sat Nav systems. I found Handtec to be the cheapest by far. I thought it might be too good to be true, and that they would charge me £40 for delivery etc. However, I called them and found that delivery was £6 for next day delivery.
I went for the Garmin Nuvi 310, which I now have. I received it withing 16 hours, which is excellent.
