Checked in early at LAX for a 7am flight to Vancouver. We are a family of 5 (3 children under age 10) and we were at the airport by 5am. The check-in staff was absolutely rude and abrupt when speaking to us. She gave my husband hell for handing over our receipt with our tickets and then informed us that one of our bags was slightly overweight. We said we could adjust the weight between other bags and she said, "well get your bags off the scale". When we received our tickets, my husband asked her why she was being so impolite with us? Her response was she gave us seats together & we should be happy with that! She forgot to give us our baggage claim tickets so we had to go back for them (after clearing customs) and she just threw them across the counter without so much as an apology for not doing her job corretly. We will NEVER fly Air Canada again. They treat their customers with so much disrespect...they should be thankful they all still have jobs. GO WEST JET!!

I've flown dozens of airlines to hundreds of destinations overtime. I may be inwardly biased being Canadian, but I've yet to find a similar caliber of airline to Air Canada through my years in business.

There are maybe 2-3 others that surpass it in my mind (Cathay, Kingfisher and Singapore) but few offer flights outside of Asia so I'm limited to the Western and European selection which is lower standard to begin with.

However, given my experiences, I've consistently had a pleasant experience ...

I have never in the past taken the time to write about Air Canada as it has always been my understanding that customer service is their lowest priority.
I should mention that as a rule I avoid travelling with Air Canada, yet, I have managed to become a Prestige member of Aeroplan. A status that I have just found out also mean absolutely nothing,Now, I should explain that for the most part I suffer the normal abysmal service of Air Canada, as my fellow passengers do, and is a point of great humou ...

This is something that I never seen:
I booked a roundtrip Calgary to Vegas with Air Canada. It was onsale, yes, good deal. Here's the problem:
    1. I booked for direct flights (which made the deal was a good deal) but then at last minutes, it became connecting flight - So is that a good deal anymore ???
    2. Got back to Calgary, we see our AeroPlan was credit so little point for that roundtrip ??? - I asked, the answer was: BECAUSE THAT WAS A VERY CHEAP DEAL, SO POINT EARN IS ONLY 25% OF NORMOAL ??? ...

Air Canada customer services are a COMPLETE disaster. I booked and then accidentally cancelled due to their website layout and have ben trying to get a refund for the past 3 weeks. They keep passing me on to someone else and fail to answer my questions. No one knows what my cancellation fee is or when I'll get a refund if at all. You never know when booking a flight if you'll need customer services; I didn't think I would but here we are totally stressed!

My friend and I had the unfortunate experience of flying home to Australia with Air Canada. As it was World Youth Week, we were expecting our plane to be quite full. We checked in at the airport at 6pm for our 11.50pm flight so we could be sure there would be no issue. Having sat there for many hours, we heard people around us saying our plane was delayed, which was pretty obvious as it was 12.30am. No annoucement, no air canada staff, just the poor airport security guy to answer questions.
    Fina ...

I flew from Vancouver to Hong Kong, round trip. Nice airplane with my own TV screen, eventhough I was in economy. Flight attendants were very nice and helpful, very friendly. I would fly Air Canada again!

I've travelled Air Canada on 3 different journeys. 2 were economy class and 1 was in business class. I have to say there is a DEFINATE difference in treatment in economy class. Where they practically bark back at you if you ask for a glass of water in economy, they'll do anything for you in business class. Personally, I think everyone should be treated equally.

Their ground staff on the other hand is a complete joke. They are never friendly, never greet you with a smile and forget about ...

Over the last 12 months I have flown/attempted to fly Air Canada three times. One from Calgary to Vietnam, Calgary to Fort Lauderdale, and attempted to book flights from Calgary to Egypt. An absolute joke for all of the above. The worst service, etc i have ever received. Cancelled flights, lengthy flight delays, zero customer service, have yet to be on a plane where the "map" and "game" function works on the entertinment system. Lost luggage and bad attitude. Lazy flight crews that appear to hat ...

On my Air Canada flight I was on a 737-600 extremely cramped seating. Sitting in window seat and crammed up against the wall, knees forced into the seat in front of me. Almost claustrophobic. Good thing it was only a 45 minute flight.

Flew Ottawa to Montreal, then Montreal to Las Vegas. The check in was quick, the flights were on time, the cabin staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble.
The inflight entertainment system is really good, everyone can pick their own movie, tv shows or music..
Would definitely fly with Air Canada again..

Since Air Canada allow pets to actually travel in the main cabin I had an incident with fleas and I do not have any pets myself. They wouldn't hear about it and basically were saying it wasn't true, even though I had some proof, they refused to accept any responsibility, period. Very difficult to reach customer service, and then it comes down to letters or e-mails only. So many things that should be addressed fall by the wayside simply because the person can not or will not waste their time to ...

Air Canada. Courteous crew. Comfortable aircraft - lots of leg room. Embraer 190 is an exceptionally quiet aircraft. .
Short haul flight Kelowna to Calgary, then Calgary to Kelowna via Vancouver on a CRJ, CRA, and Embraer 190.
In Vancouver & Calgary we waited several minutes on the tarmac for a ramp crew to get in place.
