“Won't Fly on Air Canada Again”

I was in Narita Airport during the month of April waiting for my flight to Calgary. There was a delay of one hour shown on the airport. Two hours later no one at the gate knew what was going on. Hour three we were told our plane was in Nagoya and would arrive in about 1 hour. Four hours later we were still waiting. Water was passed out to customers. “Worst customer service”

I will never fly Air Canada again. In Toronto, Delays followed by a cancelled flight. Rebooked for the next day, but no hotel voucher, no airport food voucher. Nonsense! Customer service people are no help and not nice about it. They told me to go the third floor of the airport to sleep. Third floor has almost no carpeting and the benches have armrests. “Customer Service”

They customer service line is not very helpful at all!! They are very matter of fact about everything! Don't want to give the extra hand to help you figure anything out. Then they change all their sun destinations to Rouge which is not a comfortable and very good flight to say the least. They charge you the same money less room and no service!! “Do not fly Air Canada”

I purchased an international ticket through Lufthansa which requires 1 connection in Germany. After couple of months, I received an email that one of the flights was cancelled. And guess what? The flight was operated by Air Canada. They automatically booked me on another flight but the connection were not good. So, I called Lufthansa to rebook it or cancel it. My family (15 of us) were returning to Orlando, FL from Athens, GR on Air Canada flight that was delayed four hours in Athens because of mechanical problems. I booked our vacation package specifically because the flight attached to the Gran Bahia was flying with Air Canada and I expected to be impressed with this airline. Unfortunately, everything on Air Canada’s end was abysmal. “Never again”

I was supposed to be in a DIRECT FLIGHT from Newark to Calgary on June 4. Flight was at 8 am, have checked in the night before already.. “Poor, poorer, poorest”

Air Canada "lost" my son's luggage, causing us to miss our flight. A reputable airline would have GIVEN A FOOD VOUCHER to us, since we missed a 4:50 p.m. flight and weren't rescheduled until 8:55 (and then moved to 3 different gates and 3 different departure times--without notification of the first change!) We did not even hear an APOLOGY for causing us to miss our flight. I am a Star Alliance frequent traveler. I recently had one of the worst experiences in my more than 3 decades of frequent travel. “Horrible experience”

Flying Air Canada was not a good experience. We were flying from Indianapolis to Toronto to Hong Kong to catch a Crusie to SE Asia. “Avoid using Air Canada”

My flight was canceled due to weather in St. John's Newfoundland on 27-12-2015. AC never notified me. I found out when I got to the airport. AC did not automatically rebook my flight. It took three calls of 45 minute hold time to finally rebook myself . First 2 agents refused to reroute me or give me a free upgrade although seats were available in business class. “Abysmal Customer Service”

Unfortunately, I have flown with AC a few too many times but it has mostly been because of lack of flight options to the province I normally travel to. However, after the most recent awful experience, I will go out of my way to avoid them. Each of my international business class flights have been awful experiences. Bad management equal bankrupted airline service that screwed many flyers. Combines this with ruthless guidelines that if you show up 40mins before the flight actually flies, your cut off! existing tickets? nah, you'll need to fork out more money for them. I booked a cross county trip on points and felt like a second class citizen. On my trip to Happy Valley Goosebay me and 12 other passengers travelling on points boarded a plane that sat on the Tarmac for over an hour before we were asked to deplane and accept a 6 hour delay. I flew return Toronto-NYC in May. Flights were delayed on both flights in one weekend. One way was due to weather, so I was tempted to let that go, but we were on the tarmac for 2 hours in TO and another 45 mins in NY. Mechanical issues on the way home; a 2 hour delay. I emailed customer service to complain about 2 delays in one weekend, but they were so unhelpful and borderline insulted my intelligence. “Not good enough for business class prices”

Very disappointed. Business class check in very bad at Vancouver. Given incorrect boarding passes and no apology when we had to go back to have them corrected. Lounges average at best. Table design the worse I have ever come across. Food average. Flight attendants non attentive, and one almost surly. Need to learn from the likes of Emirates.
