Good Points: Beautiful old farmhouse, with gorgeous rooms filled with beautiful furniture. The owners were both extremely pleasant and helpful. Gorgeous setting near the sea.

Bad Points: The full Irish cooked breakfast was a little dried out, and cooked prior to ordering.

General comments: Recently four of us stayed at Ballycastle House based near Mountstewart just outside Newtownards. The house was a beautiful old farmhouse, filled to the brim with gorgeous antique furniture.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the rooms were beautifully decorated, and we were made to feel very welcome. The setting for the house was in the lovely countryside, near the sea. We woke to the sound of lots of birds singing. It was extremely peaceful and a lovely place to relax and enjoy our holiday, whilst being central enough to visit other parts of Northern Ireland. The owners also had an old tractor collection which you can go and see during your stay.

All in all our visit there was lovely, and if staying in that area again, we would not hesitate to book at Ballycastle House.
