    If you want a really good sounding wood snare drum then the Mapex Black Panther sounds better than most I've tried (including snares costing twice as much). Excellent, well made product which represents very good value for money.

    It's the best snare I have ever had and it's going nowhere!

    Mapex Black Panthers are the best snares i've ever played! I went from a mid-range kit snare, premier artist birch to a Mapex Black Panther and the difference was amazing, the sounds so much sharper and warmer, its miles easier to play and rim shots sound elite. Highly recommended!
