Flew with Emirates lots of times from UK to Dubai in both Economy and Business Class.
Economy is great, legroom is half decent, the entertainment is good (on demand movies) and the food is particularly good. They actually give you a small but well presented Menu which is a nice touch.
Business Class is great too, seats are as you would expect but not totally flat, although it is my understanding they are changing them.
Service is excellent, staff kept us supplied with a good flow of drinks and c ...

The kind of service that I have received from Skywards is beyond terrible. I had some miles expiring in 2 days and I called repeatedly to try to get a Mumbai- Dubai ticket. However, this was an impossible task. The Skywards people are rude and very unhelpful.
The employee I spoke to, who claims to be a senior agent at the Mumbai office. Also claims to be the most senior employee at Emirates. Rude, unhelpful, obnoxious employees, in my opinion, do not belong in the service industry. I was under ...

I would never fly with them they have to be the worst airline. When we come to leave the Philippines my wife was refused to board as she did not have her old passport with her, but she did have a copy and her visa, they abandoned her in the airport at 2am, I had to leave her because I had no visa to stay in the Philippines. The immigration & Embassy did not have a problem with her they said she could go back to the UK she came home one week later costing £300 extra, she was a lone female i ...

I have flown with Emirates before and always found them to be efficient and polite. I was impressed by the general approach in business class, having only traveled economy before. The food choices were excellent and with good attention to detail. No fuss was made when I requested my special meal and this was served promptly.

Alright we flew emirates Auckland, Dubai stopover, Athens, Vienna, Bangkok stopover, Auckland. Our problems started when we checkin for our Dubai/Athens leg. After checkin us and our luggage was shifted to another counter where we were informed that we had to stay another night. You guessed it yet another overbooked Emirates flight. To cut a long story short we were coerced and bullied into accepting an options ticket as compensation. At the time we given a myriad of stories as to the validity a ...

Good service on board, spacious, new aircraft Lousy customer service, if you ever run into a problem with luggage or flight, they refuse to take ownership. Emirates will show you the highway, and wash their hands off and pretend that the customer is at fault. Typical narrow minded company with no sense of customer relations. Will never fly again.

My initial impression about Emirates was that it's a top class airline. However, after what my mom went through with Emirates, I no longer think high of Emirates. My mom had a missed flight which made the wait for the next flight 20+ hours. However, Emirates Dubai refused to give her a hotel room, saying it was only for Business/First class passengers. The Ground staff were very arrogant and of no help to her.

I guess I'm still annoyed by the lack of help, the indifference to my struggle with luggage/child/trolley and then to be told I have to check his pushchair in too... Oh and no we don't have any food for him, does he want a mars bar? Offering a 10 month old a mars bar!?!?But then to top it off - when I try to redeem my air miles to get a "free" gift I find that it'll cost me between $80NZ to $150NZ postage! And that I can't use airpoints to pay for the postage. Not sure what part of "free" that ...

Very poor at informing customers of what's going on.... That when you stop in Singapore you have to disembark & forfeit your liquid duty-free if over 50cc's & go back through Security...Very amusing watching them organize the gates at Melbourne Airport which took nearly 40mins & a small army... And then you expect them to get you to your destination on TIME???777 planes are HORRID, seats too small, no leg room & no support, very bad for your health...

Booking Business Class does not guarantee any better level of service I am afraid!
Emirates lost my bag on a flight from Heathrow to Mumbai via Dubai. It was 2.30 am and as I had my first business meeting in 6 hours I asked if they could provide me with a toiletry pack which I didn't think was an unreasonable request but seemed to amuse the Emirates girl behind the lost luggage desk. I was not informed of my compensation rights but was told to fill out a customs declaration and sent on my way ...

I flew emirates Feb this year, flying from Manchester to Dubai, where we were joining a cruise. I could have booked the cruise and flights as a package deal, however this would have meant a transfer at Amsterdam and as my husband is suffering from a terminal illness, I decided to not cut corner and fly emirates as I had heard good reports, although this cost an extra £600.
Firstly we were delayed at Manchester for 4.5 hours, which the reason given was engine problems. When we did fianally ...

I had business class tickets for an overnight flight and had a broken seat that would not recline. It was a full flight and I was told that I could not change seats but that Customer Affairs would address my complaint. I have been calling and emailing for over 5 months and have still not been addressed. I have called and left several messages and have been continually ignored. But after looking online, apparently my experience with Emirates Airlines Customer Affairs is not an isolated incident. ...

Pleasant crew on my Emirates flight. Very limited legroom on London to Dubai leg made flight extremely uncomfortable. London to Auckland to London routing extremely convoluted and requiring 2 stopovers in each direction - journey far too long. Over-rated airline - at least in Economy class.

We flew BHAM to SYDNEY via dubai with no trouble at all. Staff were very friendly always offering drinks with no problem. Bhx-dubai we flew the A330-200 which didn't offer such good entertainment-- we arrive in Dubai early. We then catch the Emirates direct service to sydney (then on to New Zealand) This route is operated by an A340-500 aircraft which is quite spacious. We took off at 11am (1 hour late due to problems with the entertainment system, ICE: Info, communication & entertainment. Fligh ...

We were flying London to Cochin via Dubai. Our flight to Dubai was cancelled due to fog which meant we missed the day we had planned to visit Dubai. We spent the night in Gatwick and go on the next plane the day after. But when we got to India our luggage hadn't arrived ( another 20 people had the same problem). We reported it at the airport and spent 2 days calling every few hours to check if it had arrived. We decided to stay longer in Cochin hoping that our luggage would be delivered the nex ...

They delay boardings, they delay flights, on writing to customer affairs, they deny any compensation at the same time they agree that it was their mistake.

We traveled with Emirates on the 14/12/07 to Dubai and then to Johannesburgh by Economy, we could not praise them highly enough, planes were on time and loved the food, and entertainment and the staff were efficiant and pleasant.
Would definitely travel with them again.

I travel alot for work and after trying all airlines from Virgin (close second) to BA, Emirates is my airline of choice - even if it means i have to wait around in Dubai for a few hours wherever i go....it is well worth it! I have managed to get up to Skywards Gold and feel that the airline has valued my custom. Having flown with BA for the same number of flights, i was still on blue and with awful customer service AND food - I ditched them for Emirates.
The fleet has on the whole been upgrad ...
