So ahead of our flight this week, I rang to confirm what luggage allowance we had etc... Also to check if I needed to let them know my son that is 27 months would be using a car seat on board. Their website stated a child between 6 to 36 months may use a car seat on board if a seart is purchased. Well they told me I would need to buy an additional seat for him. We have travelled with Emirates on the same route (B'ham to Mumbai via Dubai) for the last five years. Sadly, we have seen a deterioration in a number of areas. On our last flight from mumbai, we had a lovely new plane, but the crew were rude and bizarrely refused to serve us any drinks until after the meal had been served to all passengers. “B Class and Service”

My wife and I flew Uk - Thailand B Class return in June 2013 costing about GBP 3,800 . Family decided to come to Thailand in 2014 thus no need for us to go to the UK. I have just flown from Birmingham to Bangkok via Dubai the first leg was the worst by far . I will firstly comment what lovely clean new planes they use so was expecting a service to complement this. “Not flying Emirates ever again !!!”

I've been travelling with Emirates for over 5 years. I can honestly say, service getting worse by the minute. Rude staff in airport and cold staff on board flight. They are so rude to the extent you think they transporting cattle for free! Their customer service is appalling. And may I say they are not ABTA member either, so if you have a problem you are on your own! So full of them selves & over priced. Entertainment system down, deal with it. “Worst Airline of the year”

I can never understand how an airline like this ever gets onto the the top airlines list, I'm sure they must be paying someone off for that accolade. I have been flying internationally since I was 2 years old 9 now 40!)so I have my fair share of horror stories to tell, but somehow none of them have to so with the staff. “Accident in flight, no entertainment, AND lost luggage”

I dont think it gets any worse than my experience with Emirates... I have flown with Emirates numerous times before and I have always been very happy until my recent experience... I flew with them in Dec 2013 from SIN-JHB. Check-in for my flight from SIN-DXB was fine but when I got to my seat the in-flight entertainment didnt work!!! Hey I agree with you. I flew Emirates in Feb. 2014 from Toronto to Colombo. It was a brand new A380-800 flight but couple of entertainment systems weren't working. As the flight was full they had difficulties in getting the cabin crews to relocate them.

My issue with them was on my luggage. My bags didn't arrive with me. It was delivered to me in two days and the Airline paid me $50 for each day. But to get this far I had to make numerous phone calls on my own expense. The lock on a bag was tampered with and had 3 expensive items missing from it. When I made my claim they rejected it. Then I sent an e-mail to their customer service complaint department asking them to reconsider their decision on my case. Now a senior officer from Emirates has written me back and requesting for receipts or credit card statements for those missing items. To this date this problem has not been solved. God knows when I will get their final decision.

We flew from London to Kuala Lumpur via Dubai. When we check-in at Heathrow Airport, the staff attending to us was very unhelpful and assumed that my daughter who was carrying a cabin bag, handbag and a backpack was going to carry all three bags into the aircraft. Although we fully understood and complied with the two bags policy, the Emirate's staff made a remark in the computer to ensure that one of my daughter's bag has to be charge at the gate. “Terrible!!”

I have traveled with Emirates quite a few times over the past few years flying from London to Karachi via Dubai and one thing they have been consistent with is how their customer service, attitude of cabin staff and overall quality of service takes a nosedive in the second leg of the flight (Dubai-Karachi/Karachi-Dubai). “Inconsistent service, don't use their car hire”

Flew from Manchester via Dubai to Bangkok and Sydney in cattle class. Dubai airport is under modernisation and at the rate of expansion of Emirates, I doubt it will ever be finished! The in-flight entertainment system can't be faulted, it is comprehensive. More than enough to keep you entertain you on long haul. Their Airbus 380 is superb. Their Boeing 777s are so-so. “Poor Service”

My flight was scheduled to leave JFK at 10:40 AM on Jan 8th 2014, but it did not end up leaving until 12:15 PM. All this while, there was no update from the crew at the gate or a courtesy apology from the captain for the delayed departure. “terrible service”

We have just got back from the USA and would never recomend Emirates.We waited 4 hours for a drink and that was water as we were told to wait for our meal, meal came 1 hr later and drink 40 minutes after that. Spoke to customer service advisor on Saturday 4/1/14 regarding my free tickets the advisors name was Vinay, I explained I was very worried about booking my travel dates just incase the dates I required were not available especially as I was using my free option tickets the advisor was very helpful and explained what I needed to do and that he could book the seats for me over the phone and that I did not need to email customer services or go to London to sort my tickets out. “Poor Service”

Flew to Brisbane from Auckland return. We ordered 4 kids meals, only two turned up, one child got adult meal other child got nothing! On return flight, one kids meal had no cutlery, wife asked for cup of tea, which arrived stone cold! Asked later for another tea and was given a coffee! I wasn't even asked if I would like a drink. “Getting bad since tie up with Qantas.”

I have been travelling Emirates for last 10 years or so . I travel around 4-5 return trips to South Asia from UK every year. Emirates used to be a class ahead of other airlines in terms of travel programme, menu, seats and entertainment. However over last few years their overall service seems to be getting worse. Would recommend Emirates We fly from German to Dubai to Sydney. Then on the way back to German via the same route. Economy class was very comfortable and loads of films to watch and the staff gave us plenty of beer! Horrific airline. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate Emirates a 1. It's unbelievable and beyond frustrating how incompetent the customer service reps are at Emirates. First of all, they don't even provide accurate information on flight status and then they don't have the decency to inform customers of the status of misplaced luggages. “Disappointed - was told Emirates was good”

The plane was old stock and pretty shabby for an airline that has heavily invested in new planes recently. The biggest problem though was the attitude of the staff. On boarding, we were given a menu of meals that all seemed good. However when the food got round to us, there was only one choice left, chicken! No point giving us a menu really.
