Good Points: light yet still solid construction
Bad Points: no fuel guage, no carriers unless by special order
General comments: The Sachs Madass 125 is a bit slow, and it is only 119 cc but the styling takes the biscuit.I also considered a Honda 110 Aussie post office bike or a smaller but likeable Portuguese Casa as having a similar style but in the end the availability of the MadAss from the importers just a few miles away made buying from new an easy if expensive option.

I've had a Madass 125 for about 18 months now.I downsized from a CB1000 (naked Honda muscle bike) to the Madass. As yet, I haven't met anyone who has gone to that extreme. If you live in a city & commute 30 - 40 mins to work, the Madass is unbeatable. Be prepared to spend an hour a week explaining to people (pedestrians, car drivers at traffic lights, American tourists) what the Madass actually is. "No, it's not electric". When people see it in action they do get quite excitable, sometimes shaki ...- Read pepper and salt's review (334 words)

this sachs madass 125 bike is great, it fits so good for moving in the city because it is really cheap to run and it is very versatil and practical, is not good if you want to transport soething or going with someone else.....in my personal opinion is one person bike but it is great any way and you will get a lot of attention- Read Guest's review (65 words)

I bought a Sachs Madass 125 6 months ago and having a blast. Small, easy to ride bike, just finishing running it in. Super cheap to run, runs off the smell of an oily rag. Love the looks myself, gets lots of attention, mostly from old blokes tho! Fast-ish up to around 50 then takes a while to get to the top speed. Pretty stable at speed. Fun to throw around the corners and very tractable engine.
Quality appears very good... had some concerns, but so far nothing at all has broken and zero ...- Read simtav's review (161 words)

The Sachs Madass 125 bike looks really good and quite muscular. It will be economical too without too much of technology infused. Very new kind of bike. Little impractical- Read Guest's review (28 words)

No fuel Gauge. Who would make a bike without a fuel gauge. Often says its in Neutral but is actually in first gear.- Read nikosthegreat88's review (33 words and 1 comment)

AWESOME! Worth every bad point ten times over!
Everyone has good things to say...and they are right....BUT there are some quirks I feel the need to report to potential buyers. It loves a good stall in take off...First is a touchy gear on this front. The throttle tends to stick a bit...it makes the ride down Lygon street a freaking blast when you can't slow down. The rear break, I am told, ceases up from time to time, so carry a ratchet with you...A good bleeding helps it, no big issue. Its a ...- Read Girkinboy's review (155 words)

When I first saw one of these in the flesh, I just had to have one. And for the price, nothing else even comes close. The performance of the engine is fine, just remember its a 125cc moped, not a superbike. Having said that, it will wheelie and stoppie straight out of the box if stunting is your thing (It is for me). I've swapped the engine for warmed over 140cc, but the standard 125 will be fine for most people.
The 4lt fuel tank will get you about 120k's, but keep an eye on the trip meter. Wit ...- Read seven4ate's review (191 words and 1 comment)

Recommend it highly for commuting in suburbs and inner city.
Not good on the freeway since top speed is 94km/hr downhill.
Sudden braking can cause bad handling because it's so light.
Gets heaps of comments - unfortunately from guys, not girls.- Read El Rey's review (71 words)

I bought the Fonta Hawk (a direct copy from China) Sachs make these things in their chinese factory in any case so serves then right that the Chinese copied them with exactly the same parts. I took the engine off and put a 120cc oo-raceing pit bike engine into it instead, twice the power and it looks better. I paid 400 for the bike 300 for the new engine 700 for the package its a neat and eye catching town flyer.- Read Guest's review (94 words)

I don't own one of these I was coming from work with my mountain bike and saw this bike parked. I had to turn around. What was that a trial? an old bike restored? A custom built bike? I had to turn back to see it. I stood there looking at it trying to understand what type of bike it was sure looks Funky and definitely not chinese stuff cause all parts look of good quality. Then it's owner shows up and there we are talking about the bike he had just bought it 2nd hand and was showing the bike to ...- Read Guest's review (277 words)
