The Nokia 3660 mobile phone is really great. It looks unique, and I get comments on how professional it looks. I've had people asking me if it's a PDA or such. The camera quality is decent, although the night mode can get very fuzzy, and it lacks in frames and features such as Black and White photo mode. The video recording is also quite short. However, in all other aspects, this phone is great. The menu and display are simply great looking, and so is the content. From Bluetooth to Games and Applications to Currency Changer to Composer, it has everything! The size might be a problem though. For girls with more figure-fitting clothing, it may be difficult to slip it inside your pocket.

Nokia 3660 - A very nice phone, but I have had to charge it once already in the last 4 days and it needs charging again now but the battery is the only fault I can find.
I would recommend this phone to anyone as it has a large amount of features and is very easy to use.

I have just bought this hand phone less than a week ago and I must agree that with all the features included I must say that this hand phone defeated others. However, the length of video recording is a bit disappointment but I would say that quit OK!

For some reason , the upcoming Nokia model 6630 is much much better that Nokia 3660 but the price seems the barrier. In Malaysia, you can even buy the second hand hp (Nokia 3660) around RM700-RM800 and ....wooo!!!! It's really cheap.

I must say that I could hardly wait until end of the month to own this hand phone.

I have had the Nokia 3660 for about a month and I think it's real great with all the memory you can supliment with MMC. It's really handy plus the camera is much more clearer... and it's given us all the features of the 6600 at a reasonable price. The battery life is the only minus point. It gives you only 2 days on max usage.

Ever since i saw the first Nokia 3650 mobile phone i wanted it but i never got around to it! But now ive got the 3660 and boy am i happy with it. My friend has the 3650 and my screen and cam whips his phones ass! This phone has everything. BlueTooth, InfaRed, cameras, games, EVERYTHING. Nokia have really gone to town on this model its camera is amazing and is soo detailed. The video camera is obviously still a new feature and as a result the quality isnt outstanding but it is real fun when you carrying on and you quickly record those daft moments. The phones screen is something you have to see to truly beleive how detailed it is. Ive taken pics before and you can actually see peoples spots!!
The look of the phone is rather like Marmite: You either love it or you hate it. Personally i love it when i get my fone out and everyone around me rushes over with puzzeld faces wondering what it actually is. And although it seems massive on pictures its not that big and fits in the pocket snuggly. Iv noticed that i can whip my fone out of my pocket quicker coz i can actually get a hold of it unlike some tiny fones ive had. If you really wanna stand out from the crowd and be at the forefront of technology (and be the envy of all ur mates) then this funky looking fone is for you!! :)

“I was once attracted to the Nokia 3650 mobile phone,...”

★★★★★

written by avant on 18/02/2004

I was once attracted to the Nokia 3650 mobile phone, due to the odd keypad layout and the size I withheld the idea of purchasing one.

Then came the Nokia 3660 the 3650mk2. All that u can expect from 3650 but with better colors and less pixelation than 3650. Noticably sharper than its brother. 3660 is a leap ahead of the earlier models in picture taking. Thanks to the screen, I make use of the phone to upload other pics of
my work as a portfolio display. Very handy indeed. Like the idea of the memory card, to manage folders and pics. Nokia isn't generous with 16mb card though.

MultiMedia wise: Video recording and playing however aren't as satisfactory. However they
generate a great laugh recording candid moments.

Outlook calendar and contacts integration are quite good. Though I was hoping there should be
more features to round up with the package with notes and journals. However u can sent a txt file
from the PC via bluetooth and receive it as sms. Wonderful!

Is this symbian phone perfect? No and simply there will never be one either. 3660 is a great phone packed with packed features so much so u would want to go thru the manuals to fully understand the functions. This is one hella of fun companion aside of being a phone alone. And with all its worth, the price for its features is truly justified for. If u can live with a slightly larger phone, you will be amazed with 3660 and I am sure people around u will be as well.

“If I'm not mistaken, there is a software upgrade for...”

★★★★★

written by HeiroshiRed on 29/01/2004

If I'm not mistaken, there is a software upgrade for fm radio that you can purchase for the Nokia 3660 mobile phone. There is an mp3 player upgrade and the quality is quite good. Currently I transfer mp3 files from the pc suite (using bluetooth) which automatically converts it to wav format which is smaller and the quality is to my satisfaction (tested it on a rock song - evanescence and i could make out every instrument)
Video converted from mpg to 3gp isn't that clear. they were boxy as compared to the original but it was ok for me. i think you have to get them in realone format for clearer videos. i downloaded a 10 second clip of eminem and it was VERY clear.
But video recording and photo is so much much more clearer than using the 3650 especially in good lighting. And I dont think 3650 video recording records audio which 3660 does. In fact, im surprised why they havent discontinued 3650 because for an affordable increase of the price, you get much more satisfaction as compared to the 3650. Seriously, its worth being satisfied with a more comfortable keypad and much more clearer images. 4k to 65k colours is a BIG difference.
Honestly, buying this phone has revolutionized the way i do things, lets me watch videoclips on the train and the games are much more fun in such a big screen. i think the big screen lets you appreciate 65k colours and camera function of a phone. A lot of features are upgradeble, i bought it when my service provided had a promotional month of free gprs so i downloaded a lot of free stuff from wap. Some of the apps i downloaded were :- infrared remote control, screensavers, extended recorder (for recording in wav format which i can record the songs i sing and play on my guitar :) ), extended video cam, mp3 player, guitar tuner, answering machine..and there's more to that. those are just the free stuff.
well i hope i helped.

I am quite disappointed as it has NO fm stereo in it. Is there an upgrade to this phone that would support fm stereo?

How about the mp3? is this phone capable?

From its predecessor (3650),
I observed the very poor playback capability. But how about on this phone, is video playback really even better? How is it better from the HTC Tanager or the Smart Amazing Phone?

Does anybody knows how to upgrade the 3660. I took the cell last week it just rocking. I had been just having fun & taking video clips with my friends. But I need somebody's assistance on how to get an MP3 player & increase the time for video recording.
