    The hotel has a nice relaxed overall atmosphere and the staff are polite and cooperative with a can do attitude. Many of the waiters are eastern european and appear to have been appointed on their bubbly and outgoing personalities. The pool are was cleaned daily as was the room which was well appointed - and the aircon worked properly. The hotel operates a no children policy (no under 16 yrs) and this meant after dark it was quiet - ideal for a rest and break this hotel offered an opportunity to relax, eat good well prepared food and enjoy Cypriot hospitality. The hotel Pioneer Beach is one of three owned locally in a chain and access to the others to either eat or drink is permitted however, this maybe a consideration to some but there was enough at the Pioneer Beach which for a 4 star hotel offered good value for money. Many of the guests are older generation and the nightly entertainment reflected this. That said my wife and I both enjoyed the stay here. The pool had expensive wooden deck loungers with mattress covers for your comfort. The pool bar was well stocked with responsive staff and there was a plethora of local games and events organised which were none intrusive to other guests. For a one week break my wife and I were more than happy and to mark that statement - we would go back !

    My boyfriend and I stayed at the Pioneer Beach Hotel in Paphos in July 2004, and we had a wonderful holiday, which was largely due to the gorgeous hotel. The place is immaculately clean, with good facilities and friendly staff.

    We stayed half board, and so had breakfast and evening meal at the Odysseus Restaurant. The food was very good; a choice of nine main meal options every night. Only downside to this is that they were very meat orientated, and I found it difficult to find vegetarian op ...
