Have been playing for 10 years and own a Tanglewood TW15 DLX and a Guild GAD40
.Played a variety of acoustics in my time,I really liked the sound and action of the TW28. Seems as good as any £220 acoustic in build quality, I loved the sound personally, and Classical gas was a joy to play on the particular one that I played. Get the action checked out first, I may just have been lucky.

I really feel that the Tanglewood TW28 guitar is cheap and nasty. It looks vulgar, it's uncomfortable and in general an unpleasant experience. The neck feels so unnatural (as it becomes very narrow at the 1st fret, yet extremely wide at the 12th), followed by a bulky, barrel sized body. Which digs into your leg and arm. As you can probably tell that I myself am not a fan of tanglewoods, although I must confess that with the right gauge of strings the sound proves to be fairly good.

Action playability improved 100% if nut saddle lowered, truss rod adjusted accordingly by qualified luthier-light guage strings(oo9`sd/addario). Brings out its best tone, versatile guitar arm/fret board radius, frets comfortable up to 12th fret. Snappy sound. Comfortable guitar size, nice weight. Tuners are ok. Excellent £ for your money; Good 1st acoustic guitar for beginners or as a "2nd guitar. USA standard of workmanship Highly recommended

I knew nothing about guitars when i bought my Tanglewood TW28 NS so i lent the ear of a musician i know and of all the guitars i tried this was the best. That was three years ago and since then these guitars have become soooooo much cheaper, not sure if there's been any change in the product to reflect this, which makes it even better value for money than it was then. The only problem i had was when i put gauge 13 strings on and the neck couldn't handle the strain. Fortunately, i was able to get ...
