Good Points: Radio and Music player very good and easy to use, call quality also excellent.

Bad Points: Games a bit fiddly with the keys programmed.

General comments: Recently bought a Nokia 5510 on ebay as I wanted one when they were first released but couldn't afford one at the time.

Nowhere near as big as I remember them. Radio and music player are really good, and the rest of the menus are laid out as every other Nokia has been. Would be considered a brick compared to the phones available now, but I really like it.

I purchased the Nokia 5510 quite a while back, in red. I was really excited when it arrived, but that's when I realised I made one of the biggest mistakes in my phone career. I couldn't believe the poor size of the phone. I could barely fit it in my pocket, and when I could I couldn't get it out!

This phone is pretty much the 3310 but with sideways keypad. If you use your phone a lot, and carry it arond with you - I suggest you do NOT buy this. This phone should be marketed for first time pho ...

The Nokia 5510 is a decent phone, good features. Only the bad points let it down.
But seriously, it's a good phone.

OKay, my Nokia 5510 was second hand, and i bought it in the summer (03). It looks great - always draws attention because not many poeple have got it - and the mP3 player is good (if a little limited in memory by todays standards). The QWERTY keyboard allows you to txt quicker, but only when you've got used to it (which takes time). One of the only REAL problems is that the earpiece seems to be in an awkward place for some people - but only some. Oh and the back cover is a bit flimsy...
    Other th ...

I got my nokia 5510 a few days ago. I got it for a price of 899 DKR (86,34 pounds).

For that price it is a great phone. I bought it for the Mp3 player. And was happy to find out it worked great!

I can use my own headset so i dont have to use Nokias little junky headset. But you need to use the adapter that comes with the phone .. but that is a good thing so you wont break the socket on the phone (having a normal headphone plug in the phone, in your pocket, would not be good for the phone ...

I bought this phone and was one of the first people I knew with it, the salesman told me it would really kick off over here. lol 1 and a half years later im still waiting. I ordered the phone from a catalogue without thinking about the dimensions lol but i wanted something unique & thats what i got, it may be a little different but then again that reflects my personality, the mp3 system is great, the texting is cool, tjhe games are hard to play but overall it ROX!!!!!!!!

Almost everything about this phone is better than it seemed apart from playing games. The controls are extremely hard but once you work it out it can get a bit easier.
I have never been able to text faster unless I go to 02's website! The space key and the shift key make it really easy but still not cluttered.
This is my 3rd phone (Nokia 7110, Siemens SL45i, Nokia 5510) and it's the best by a margine. Everything works flawlessly on it and is overall an excellent phone.

I BOUGHT THE PHONE NOT THINKING ABOUT THE SIZE INCONVENIENCE. IF NOKIA CREATED A MINATURE VERSION, THEY WOULD BE VERY POPULAR AS OVERALL, THIS PHONE KICKS @$$!

This Nokia 5510 is my 3rd phone i have purchased (Nokia 3210, 3310 and 5510) and this one has to be the worst one out of them all!! The QWERTY keyboard makes texting HARDER instead of easier. There is also no composer on this mobile phone, unless it is a flaw with Nokia, i'd say they'd rather you wasted your money on the SLOW WAP service and and download them, or you get ur m8 to compose one for you, and send it 2 you. I payed £230 and i am quite disappointed in this phone. I thought that ...

When the Nokia 5510 was first released in New Zealand, the going price was $900 (that's about 1800 euros). When I went into a shop recently, I noticed that they are now down to $260 (520 euros). When I questioned why the price has dropped so dramatically, the sales assistant told me that they had bought all of Nokia New Zealand's stock at a huge discount. It makes sense; the trendy young people at whom the 5510 is aimed would never be able to afford to spend $900. However, at a more reasonable p ...

When i got this phone I though it was totally fantastic. It is basically a 3330 with the ability to play mp3s. It has a cool design that I totally love, but I'm sure Nokia could have made it a little smaller. You get bored of the games real quick, as they are the same ones Nokia has been using since the 3310. By all means buy it, but later you may find it impracticle. Once again, the music player RULz!!!

An amazing product, and don't let anyone tell you that you can't remove the front cover of the phone and purchase phone cases for this phone. Because my mate already has 3 to 4 different covers for his nokia 5510 and reguarly changes them with ease!

The phone is great in many respects. The music quality is outstanding and it comes with really good software to download music and stuff. The FM radio is also cool. Sending SMS messages is so easy and quick however you do have a tendency to go onto the second or even third txt message!
The buttons are very clanky..especially the up and down ones. I hate the little flap that covers the USB and audio out bits. Wish it had more fascias and more readily available accesories!

The phone has many features, although it also has a few problems. If you are looking for a phone that has a keyboard and is different from everybody's 3310s or 3330s then this is what you want

Well, as a high-school student i think this Nokia 5510 mobile phone is GREAT. It's not as big or heavy as you might think and this phone plays music! So for all the people who like music on the go, buy this phone and the price is right. =)

The Nokia 5510 mobile phone needs more ingenuity in it's design. It's as big as a 5110 and it lacks functionality- it functions like a 3310 with a mp3 player. And the software doesn't work with windows XP. Very dodgy!!! Very cheap though.
