Good Points: Light, fast, versatile, plush, sexy

Bad Points: None so far after one season.. maybe telescopi seat tube so you can slam it down when the going gets really gnarly steep

General comments: I've cycled through bikes (pun intended) more than i do my underwear. always looking for the 'one' bike. Unfortunately no bike will ever do DH/FR/AM/XC and excel at all of them... The 2008 Stumpjumper is not a freeride or downhill bike at all, however, riding on DH courses has been better than i had hoped.. of course you can't take HUGE drops or jumps by any means, but the thrill of speed is still psossible on this bike.. and teh best thing is, you can pedal uphill just as easy if not more so.

The is THE BEST TRAIL BIKE i have ever ridden... i even do road riding with it, as youc an lock out the front and rear shocks. for XC/Trail put the thing in semi-open on rear, and fully open on crazy downhill..

Finally a bike I will actually hang on to

Fantastic. Buy one now. Lightweight, great value (you try getting SRAM XO at this price).

The Specialized Stumpjumper is a expensive bike but you do get what you pay for. It has a good comfortable geometry, is lightweight and has a good fork. The downsides are the lack of adjustment range in the seat and Derailleur Knock.
