We signed the agreement on Saturday 12th July 2014 and picked the car up on Tuesday 15th July 2014.

Depends if the car has had all its checks, what 'handover slots' are available, and if you've requested any additional extras that need carrying out before collection (such as touch-ups, resin polish etc). For me it was a week between signing and pick-up, but it could've been sooner if i'd gone for an earlier slot and not requested the resin polish.

I signed the contract for my car on Thursday 2nd July and picked it up on Friday 3rd July. It does depend on what slots they have available for pick up times. When we went to the Car People the Thursday afternoon they had 2 slots left on the Friday. Otherwise I would have been picking up the car the following week.

When a car is being repaired under warranty and is going to be off road for a week or more, do we get a courtesy car?

As far as I'm aware you should get a courtesy car yes

This will depend on the agreement you signed when you purchased the car from The Car People. It would be worth enquiring through their Customer Services section, as they have recently enhanced their post sales support offers to customers this year. The sales site you purchased your car from will be able to help you further.

I believe that would depend upon a number of factors. If the car is being repaired at a 3rd party garage it would depend onif that garage supplies one, if the car is being repaired at the Car people, they will try to accommodate you as best they can, however there is not always a courtesy car available so they may have to delay the repair to a suitable time when there is a courtesy vehicle available should you need one. If your car is towed from side of roadby the RAC as part of the extended warrantys RAC breakdown cover, the RAC will provide a hire car for a limited period I believe.

You would be very lucky to get anything from them you really would sorry to be so blunt but. They fob you off with it's not in the warrenty. You have maid a utter mistake buying from the car people. This was the worst choice I have ever maid every time they say they had done something I had to take it back a week later for it re doing. In the end I took it to another garage and they said it had Neva been touched. I later billed them for this work. I asked to see the reports on all work done on my car whilst under warrenty but they had gone missing. Filled wrong the last said. In the end I took them to court unde the sale of goods act and unfit for purpuse clause. I won and got all the money back I had paid. All I can say is I feel for you and the amount of stress this little thing will cause you good luck you will need it :-)

Yes, but try and get rid! The car people service and cars are shocking and not worth the money. I have been through 2 cars with them and had a number of cars to use from them!
