    Absolutely ridiculous sales men, that have no experience of satisfying a customers needs. Seems they are simply concerned with making a sale, and getting their commission.

    good paperwork organisation but not enough attention to solving problems with vehicles faults which spoils the car buying experience went back twice to solve highlighted faults at first test drive.

    If I could have given a zero for any kind of contact with
    The Car People I would, They can charm the birds out of the trees till you hand your money over but if anything goes wrong God help you please beware when when shopping there. MAKE SURE you read the paper work the staff lie they don't do out for nowt 6mounths tax on it you think wow! they charge you for it read every thing even it takes you an hour any money you hand over on the day is not refundable even if the car breaks down and the ...

    Bought an 8-month old Vauxhall Zafira Elite 1.9CDTi for less than half the price of a new one (from Ashton branch) a couple of weeks ago. I would recommend buying a car from these as it is pretty much hassle free. No real hard sell as we knew which car we wanted so just asked for the keys. Though the guy was trying to push us to put a deposit down on that day bviously wanted the commission! Very thorough hand over, everything explained and wasn't rushed.

    Was having trouble with my tired mondeo so i decided it was time to go. I visited a few car showrooms and was dived on by the sales men they were begging to sell me a car. I found this really uncomfortable, I then thought of the Car People so when we got there i was doing my best to stay away from the sales people.     Bought an 6 month old Vauxhall Zafira from the Ashton branch of The Car People for half the new cost - They offered me a better than expected px price for my old (rough) Astra. I was a little surpried when followed up with a phone call a couple of weeks afterwards to check I was happy with the car. They phoned me a couple of weeks afterwards to check I was happy with the car and asked for feedback on their service.

    The car I bought required a new engine & new headlights. The car was not fit for purpose and they should not have sold it to me. No compensation for my time or mileage trying to get the faults diagnosed and rectified was offered.
    I spent several weeks and many phonecalls trying to get this dispute resolved. The individuals were always willing enough to help but their obviously dealing with too many cars - they were poor at returning calls and am I left very fustrated with them.

    I visited The Car People in Ashton mid week, it was quiet and there were 5 - 6 sales people in the showroom (which you have to go through to get to where the cars are), however apart from saying hello; not one of them hassled us.
    We were free to roam around and have a good look at all the cars on the lot. Which is set out really well in sections such as super mini, family, 4 x 4 etc.

    We were looking for a car last december 2007 after our old vauxhall was written off. after looking at the Car People website we made a visit to their Ashton-under-Lyne branch, its unbelievable the amount of cars they have in. We looked around with no pressure put on us at all, the staff were so helpful. The prices are fantastic compared to a new one. We are so pleased with our new Vauxhall Astra estate. We certainly recommend them.

    We bought a Nissan Nivara for £14k from The Car People on 28th September 2007. The vehicle wasn't even fit for purpose. It didn't start first time (which they must have been aware of as they'd started it up around the corner and left it running for my test drive) and lost power whilst driving.     As long as you do your research thoroughly and have a good idea of prices for the car you would like then I would highly recommend taking a look at The Car People Car Supermarket. We actually came away with a car we didn't even consider before hand, but such was the price and quality of this other car, we ended up with something else far more practical (and cheaper) than we had set out for.

    The Car People, Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester is well situated, near to the M60, once there, there are no problems parking. I purchased my Citroen from them in May 2005 and have had no problems to date, touch wood. I certainly would have no hesitation to buy from them again. However, always remember if the car you are after is not there, ask one of the sales team if they could obtain one for you, you never know, and there is always another day to look round, the stock is always changing.

    I bought a car from them in Nov 05 and it is the best car showroom I have every dealt with in the 6years I have been driving. They promise they will not approach you and this is very true. There is always someone around if you need them but you are under no pressure even when you ask for the keys to look inside the cars. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
