I buy and sell golf clubs for a living and see many sets of clubs come and go. I had been using a set of Ping i3 O-Size irons when I purchased a set of the TaylorMade r540 xd irons mint off a private individual very cheap. I had never heard of the clubs before but they felt and looked excellent so I decided to take them out for a round. I had fantastic results and ended up keeping them for myself and selling the i3 irons. I feel I made a great decision. I must add that I am still using a Ping G5i putter and feel that Ping putters are superior to the Taylormade Rossa models which I have been quite disappointed with.

You can get a decent TaylorMade R540 XD set affordably. Llightweight shafts aren't too whippy at tip. With a solid swing you ask a little more out of them and they won't snap hook or high right. Very solid feel. Appealing look at set up-user friendly without looking being a shovel. Very forgiving, smaller head, better feel than expensive game improvement clubs out there.

Off the deck or off the Tee, the 540XD 3 wood is still my favorite club. its as good as any other fairway wood I hav tried.
