“I've had my PT Cruiser Classic for just over 3 years...”

I've had my PT Cruiser Classic for just over 3 years now. Its a pretty reliable family (MPV). It does what is says on the tin and its beauty is in its pure simplicity. However there are 2 downsides. Of course the fuel consumption (urban) can be horrendous. Fine for motorways and long trips but awful economy around town. Plus the other issue that I understand is common for PT Cruisers sold in the UK and that is the inability for the front suspnesion bushs to cope with the road conditions, roundabouts...

“Our Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.0 Auto car has only done 21K...”

Our Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.0 Auto car has only done 21K miles and the rear suspension bushes have come adrift!!! Seems it wasn't picked up at the last service at 18K and we were one day out of the warranty period. Chrysler refused to cover it!!! I wouldn't own another Chrysler, just on loss of good will. Can put up with the expensive service charges, expensive parts, even the ridiculously low service period of 7.5K or 6 months giving an annual service charge of over £600 expensive on a second...

“Guess from a look perspective, you love them or hate...”

Guess from a look perspective, you love them or hate them. I love the Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.0 Auto. Fuel consumption is around 30 mpg. Interior is a good solid build (3 kids have still not broken anything - or me). Acceleration is not fantastic but I'm no boy racer. The best thing is that other owners give you a wave or a flash of the lights, so you are joining a nice group of like-minded people. I have found Chrysler garages to be very professional and trustworthy, especially the one in Basingstoke,...

“Beautiful car to drive, comfort was the best I ever...”

Beautiful car to drive, comfort was the best I ever had. Build quality was pretty good, 60k on the clock and the interior looked new, as did the exterior. Chrome finish wheels need to be looked after. Apart from a computer glitch with the central locking just after purchase, it never missed a beat. Showed up all the "pretend" 4x4s in icy conditions, when I could just let it "creep" out of trouble. I have now sold it, and there is a gap left. Mind you, I won't miss the bills one bit....

“I have owned this car 1 month and am very pleased with...”

I have owned this car 1 month and am very pleased with it. Although the petrol consumption appears to be a little on the high side the ride is great, is very comfortable and the interior is really well thought out. The car has been kept to old style spec, such as metal door handles and the old circular dials on the dash. It is a love it or hate it car, but I love it....

One of the extremely few peoples' modern cars on the road with any character! When this vehicle first came out a well known car reviewer said that with wider wheels and a 3.5 litre engine this vehicle would be really something. In a few years' time this stylish vehicle has to be high on the list of those who customise vehicles and I can imagine its breathtaking appearance with customised paint, loadsa chrome, 345 rear wheels, white lambswool interior, and 5.75 litre small block engine. Its glory days have yet to come!

Unfortunately - I have to amend the review I posted for this car. After 6 weeks of owning it, things started to go wrong. The end result was, after the car breaking down countless times (see Kings Chrysler Review) I ended up taking legal advice and getting my money back for the car, as Kings could not find a like for like replacement (I must admit though, by this point, I was unsure if I even wanted a Chrysler) and had proved so far to be unable to fix the faults on the car. My car had only done 12k miles, and I have never had a car which has broken down so much. It was a real shame, as the look of the cars I still love. Also, I must add that after testing the petrol consumption on the Chrysler I was only getting 21 miles to the gallon. Whether this had something to do with the faults I do not know, but the 2.4 automatic Chrysler hire car I had only did 16 mpg, so it was probably about right. However, if you want to drive a Chrysler that has the performance that the looks indicate, you should try the 2.4 Diesel - this is a Mercedes Engine (so I have been informed), and it is an amazing car (this was one of my other hire cars). They only do this one in a Manual though. I have now bought a Mazda 3, and so far I am very happy with my new car, touch wood, no problems.
