Handling is so easy to balance and have fun. Power delivery as standard is smooth and strong all the way round the clock. If you can own and use an FD3S, RX7 in your lifetime dont miss the chance!...

If you can afford the maintenance of the Mazda RX-7, know someone that can work on its unique twin turbo Wankel engine. This car is just a one of a kind beauty way worth the maintenance. Personally I think this is one of the coolest more beautiful ingenious cars ever made.I love this car!...

“Don't believe the myths when people say you can't get...”

Don't believe the myths when people say you can't get parts for grey imports. I needed a clutch, made one phone call and had it within the hour. The RX7 is a beautiful car to look at and drive. Also if you look after them the engines will last for a very long time. Watch out for cars advertised as never taken over 4,000 rpm this is bad for a rotary engine (once the oil is warm take the engine all the way to 9,000 rpm, as this ensure you don't get carbon build ups, which destroy rotors and rotor...

“I have just parted with my Japanese import, the Mazda...”

I have just parted with my Japanese import, the Mazda RX-7 rx7 Efinei. After spending over £8500 on the Jap bullet, I must say it was a pleasure to own from start to finish, despite the expense. To cut a long story short here is my rx7 experience: Bought standard with 276 hp, engine pressure fell and eventually stopped working in Christmas 2004, so sent to WGT Automotive in Northwich, Cheshire. The engine was rebuilt, purred like a cat who got the cream. Added parts including apexi ecu and...

This is a quote I thought everyone would like to hear, and comes from a guy named greg in north vancouver, british columbia, canada. I think he is the most knowledgeable person I've come across with probably over fifteen years working with these wonder's (rotory engines)a friend of mine is very impressed with his work, however I have yet to get my engine done up. Anywho have a good read!...

Mazda Rx-7's are addictive to drive and own once you have one you will alway's want one. You have to understand how they work to appreciate them. The engine particularly, but the body is also an added bonus. You can alway's spot another on the road and you just wonder what's under that hood....

I had my '92 Batmobile for 3 years and had a great experience. I bought my mazda Rx-7 second hand as an import from Japan and had very few mechanical problems - the key to this was proactive maintenance. I would recommend getting a full service completed upon purchasing your RX-7. It is worth finding a rotary engine specialist to service your vehicle - someone who appreciates these type of engines and will not charge excessively. Use authentic mazda rotary coolant to prevent corrosion and I recommend...

“Without a doubt, the Mazda Rx-7 is a great looking...”

Without a doubt, the Mazda Rx-7 is a great looking car. Unfortunately, that's the problem. Mazda created a car that looks so freaking AWESOME, but they didn't concentrate enough on its reliability. I can settle for an rx7 over a skyline or supra anyday ... that is whenever Mazda makes it more reliable to drive. The new rx8 is said to be really reliable, and that's good. But one question, where's the sporty look? It's big and bulky, and only one word can describe the new rx8, and that is YUCK!!!...

It was not designed to be reliable, it is a race car! Lets be real think about it, a rotary engine is not intended for every day driving. Get a clue!

I can't believe he person who added this review and the guy who made that last comment. The RX7 is as reliable as you make it. If you maintain it proactively it will last and be much more reliable then a normal piston engine.

This Mazda Rx-7 car is the mad house. I own an exact replica of the RX-7 on Fast and the Furious, but I Zooped it up far far beyond it though. It is an 8 second car and rocks the joint. The car is very slim and quick. I love em. RX-7s are the best invention of the world...

The Mazda RX7 is a good car, but if you want a real mans car you can't go past a 26psi Intercooled Twin Turbo 900hp Toyota Supra running on a 150hp Nitrous Oxide System. Until you get a car like this you won't understand what a real car is.

You're right a 900 HP supra with a 150 hp shot of NOS is a real car. But take that 900HP engine and drop that into the body of an RX-7 and add about another 300 HP or so and than you have a even better car. You then have the power of the Supra and the looks and weight of an RX-7. Unbeatable combo.

My car has never been beaten by an RX-7.
It has cost me just over $100,000 for all the turbo up grades and nos kits and it still has most of its interior left in it.
I am currently investing in getting an RX-7 Series 6 and doing it up to compare them.

Advanced mid-engine design incorporating the Mazda 13B Rotory Engine. Engine has 4 moving parts compared to hundreds in other internal combution engines. Redlines in the high 7,000 rpm area. Referring to the 1988 Rx-7 Turbo II, it is a Porsche eater and dollar for dollar you can not get a faster sports car. The RX is second to none in performance and is't rotory engine it technolicaly superior to any other ICE in the world. The interior is superior in almost every respect, solid and quiet. These...

They don't run well from a cold start (you can mess stuff up) and they will run hot (3rd gen usa version) so plan on not shutting it down right away when ya park it in your garage or you run the risk of turbo replacement:)---------guages for heat like not to work until it's too late on stock 3rd gen rx7.
