My dad got one of these SMK B4-2 0.22 a couple of years ago. Mail order from an ad in the Telegraph. Shot about a foot to the right at 10 yards even with the sights fully adjusted. Had to "zero" it by taking a hammer to the front sight. Was advertised as a "full power" rifle, was it chuff. Estimate 7-8ftlb at the most.
Good points; it worked, it was cheap, it was sufficiently accurate to hit a tin can at 20m with the open sights, trigger was Ok.
Bad points; awful finish, hilarious build quality, marginal power for hunting.
Would I buy one? A used one for a tenner but even then it would be as a project.

The finish on the connecting points are below UK standards and I do know would be condemned as dangerous. Asking the importers how to update the spring etc what size spring it was fell on a 'Jobs Worth' or a 'Job Experience' man as I was talking to a nummty and for air rifles they should be on the ball on every thing, for safety and business acumen at least. Hope I have not upset to many as I believe the truth is the best possible way in the Arms Game!- Read Guest's review (292 words)

It's £50 of fun, i use mine for hunting and its very good and very powerful i stuck a 4 X 32 scope on it and the accuracy is very good too 1/2" group at 30 yards easy.
I reshaped the stock of mine to reduce the reach to the trigger (this rifle must be made for people with huge hands)
BEWARE if you have the standard stock on yours don't bother thinking i can sand this down and refinish it, because its full of filla. I tried this and have had to repaint it, i painted it black with green s ...- Read tim n's review (114 words)

I was very impressed with the power of the SMK B4-2 0.22 rifle. It will go straight through 10mm plywood at 35m and carries on going. Accuracy is the biggest problem, but that is probably due to me not tuning the scope yet, as I have only just bought the gun. Overall quite happy! I got the rifle, scope, gun bag and bi-pod for under 200 pounds.- Read seth4666's review (69 words and 2 comments)

I was bought the SMK B4-2 as a cheap introduction to air rifles and was impressed by it's build quality. This rifle has the customer stock which can't really be faulted for quality. The rifle appears to be sturdily made and should last for a long time.
Intially I was impressed by the rifle as I could hit a beer can at 25m but I soon grew discontented with not being able to obtain any grouping of the shots. The rifle after 'resting' overnight will intially shoot high and then over about 20 ...- Read gary bayfield's review (419 words)
