Geez in the 5 years i;ve had its never worked properly.
The only reason i,ve had it this long is because I put
it on the shelf in the garage and forgot about it until
now.How about if Isend this back for one that really
works?What is it to like about something that tried to work
but never did.I even let my gadget wiz pal try it he cursed
me out.Was Igetting a gps or bs?

It is trash. I put in an address, to go to Hooters for dinner, that took about a hour to get it in and we ended up at a trailer court. I hate this Nav-Cam 7000 GPS. I will never buy another one like this. (read more)

Set the Evesham Nav Cam 7000 to go to London and back from York. It took 8 hours to get a gps signal as I was pulling on to my drive and this was on a full charge. (read more)

the evesham nav cam i have is six years old and is fantastic i am a truck driver and use everyday only thought i have wish could up date hgv map on it of course theres always people out there who struggle

Very dissapointed, have tried several times but it just will not work.Went back to where I bought it and they said to get on to manufacturer, no joy there either, passed it over to my son he also failed to get it to work,also his brother in law same result. I paid £140.00 for this and as a pensoiner I could have put the money to better use. If any one at the makers would like to reply and refund my money get to it.

All round poor satnav. Its basically a posh mp3 player as thats the best part of it, oh and the photo viewer is very touchy about photo sizes, locks up if it doesnt like the picture. A waste of my hard earned money, GIVE EVESHAM A MISS IF YOU WANT QUALITY. I'm off to buy a tomtom one, far better. (read more)

It seems impossible to me to set up the Evesham Navcam 7000 for turn-by-turn navigation. The menu tree just plain odd. The MP3 player only works when the GPS side is off---how strange is that? The program that runs the whole thing resides on the SD memory card. The support website is no longer available. (read more)

I would never again buy any product from Eve SHAM. There customer service is C***. Would never rely on Nav cam 7000. It is allways freezing and takes for ever to locate satelite. Does not hold charge and on a score of 1 to 10 I would give it 1.
In a word USELESS.

I wish I knew about the reports before buying it off of eBay. I would not have bid on it. Luckly I have a TomTom 700 on the way. Trying to get tech support is impossible or updated maps. Unit locks up at least once aday. Mainly when I first started it up. Can't give door to door directions. Doesnt know the difference in short or fastest route. NO UPDATES! Why in the world do you need a mp3 player and pictures in a gps unit. (read more)

If you want to buy a quality GPS, definitely steer clear of any Evesham product. Their customer service is non existant, software updates scarce, map updates non existant. This unit is good for looking at pictures, nothing else. (read more)

Evesham nav-cam is that poor with info about updates that I am going to buy a sat nav that you can get updates for as the uk road have change that much Evesham nav-cams are out of date with the maps and no where to get any updates for Evesham nav-cams. Over all I would never tell my friends to buy one I would tell them to buy Tomtom or something that you can get updates for when needed. The audio on my Evesham Nav Cam 7000 is not loud enough to hear it, its difficult to download music to it, photos are an impossibility, navigation works but it won't store any planned routes & the list goes on. Never had a good conversation with customer services, whether technical or otherwise. Very unhelpful. I bought two units, one for me and one for my daughter. Unfortunately, she very rarely used hers and it hibernated and we have never been able to get it back on no matter what we try and the Techies were totally unhelpful. I would never recommend anyone to buy a Evesham Nav-Cam. (read more)

CD that came with my Evesham Nav Cam 7000 is not compatible with Microsoft or any other readable program and since there is no written manual I guess I'm on my own. I managed to program the date and time but that is about it. After charging the battery for a full day it died in about 30 minutes. I had to use the car charger. Cant find satellite until you have driven for 5 minutes. Does not find postcodes using "6". Short battery life. Home button does not work. Does not take you the shortest route. Instructions too slow. I have now tried to use this for several months for trip planning and directions. It will get me to the area I am going but the routing is very strange. It has taken me off a main road for a few blocks by several turns and then put me right back on the same road less than a quarter mile farther along. There seems to be no reason, it just likes to change roads. In my local area it tries to route me across a bridge which has not been open for 10 years and, in fact, was demolished a year before... My original Evesham Nav Cam 7000 was replaced because of a faulty battery system. The replacement is no better. The system plugged in apparently is not charging although the charging light is on. In the less than a year use of the replacement it dies within an hour of driving. How is it possible to have received two defective units? (read more)

In Ontario Canada It might get me to the street.. but as far as door to door.. forget it. It seems to be a bit confused as to where the address is.. eg. I type in an address and it takes me to the other end of the street where the numbers start at! Or tells you to exit ramp after you have just passed the ramp and are now on top of the bridge.. terrible. Going back to a Garmin for sure. Nightmare to deal with Evesham when faults developed. speed camera warnings disappeared after 3 months. could not always change destination without resetting great idea with multi speed camera warnings, but not the easiest system to operate. (read more)

I tried to call their toll free but it did not work. I emailed no answer the screen say to touch middle of screen each time the X moves. I did. The X moves to each corner of the screen and returns to the middle of the screen thats it I have reset it soft hard but nothing changes. I have let it set on my dash turned on & antenna opened for 45 mins but nothing happens. The CD manual is worthless also. (read more)

I've got a Evesham Nav Cam 7000 but it does not find road from post code, car mounting breaks easily, at the end of 6 months updates for the speed cameras the software stops working and you can no longer see the speed cameras even though you have paid up to that date. Just slightly better than a map. (read more)

Don't believe I would recommended this Evesham Nav Cam 7000 especially after talking to others with different brand devices around the same cost. When NAV-CAM is telling you to take a road it does not say N,E,S or West. By the time you figure it out your pass the turn off. Also hard to hear the computer talking. (read more)

I am ashamed that I paid money for such a worthless piece of equipment. I would get better results if I blind fold myself and spin myself around. The worst part about this is that I bought two of these worthless things. I think the only thing that works very well on the Nav-Cam is the suction cup. This piece of garbage also has Interstates mislabeled. I like everyone else am waiting for updates... (read more)

I have used this system religiously for 2 years, I deliver pizzas and I frequently travel. Its lack of updates let it down, its not built for streets, its fine for motorway driving but thats it. It struggles round the towns, its slow, it often crashes whilst I'm delivering pizzas, I deliver in stoke, and wrexham, I drive all over the UK and 99% of the time it will let me down one way or another. I don't know everything there is to know about GPS units, but so far the Nav-Cam 7000 has performed with very little trouble. I've had to hard boot it one time when it locked up for some reason unapparent to me. I haven't gotten to use it on a cross country trip yet, but on several in state trips it has performed with "Spot On" accuracy. Have also found that it is not precise on addresses, disappointing if I had known about its inaccuracies, I would have purchased another manufacturer's product. Easy operation for this system, but there's no updates available. I purchased two of these units to put in my tow trucks in December of 2006. They are easy to use but the mapping software is obsolete now and NavCam has no updates available and as of October 5th, 2007, they don't know when any updates will be available, how can thy not know? I bought a Nav Cam 7000 because of the additional features of a MP3 player plus pictures but ended up taking it back because it was not user friendly and the directions that came with the unit were extremely limited. I ended buying a Garmin which I love and it has the same features plus more. Yes, it cost more but like they way you get what you pay for. (read more)

The Evesham Nav Cam 7000 does not get you to the exact address, only to the area. I questioned Nav Cam Support and they stated that the Model 7000, which should only be available from "Sams Club" (I bought it from "Tiger Direct") will not get you to the exact address. It will not get you to the exact location, only close to it!! Now I have to battle Tiger Direct for a refund. (read more)

Mine is great had it for about 3 years now and it gets me to where I want to go first time. It has never sent me in the wrong direction once I worked out the best way of using it. The best way to use it is to go to the \"Drive To\" option and put in the post code and it will get you there, if you take a wrong turn it re routes very quickly in this mode. If you put in a start point and an end point should you take a wrong turn it takes forever to re calculate the route especially on long journeys as it re calculates from the start point to the end point all over again taking into account that your in the wrong place. Just a pity the manual doesnt go into this detail, lots of detail on how to view pics and listen to music but f--- all on how to use the navigator.
