OK, I am a landlord but we have problems too. I had dreadful tenants who were truly obnoxious and poor payers. My designated agent was a pinnacle of customer service, always went the extra mile and was resolute and pragmatic in dealing with the aftermath of the tenants' departure. Very happy.

Have had an excellent service provided over many months by both the Property Manager and the Client Relationship Manager. We had increasing issues with a tenant who was becoming more and more problematic, with new issues having to be dealt with seemingly on a monthly basis. Thank goodness we had them to deal directly with the tenant, as we would have been climbing up the wall in despair. All issues were resolved with patience & in a most professional manner to our satisfaction. Thank you.

Property Manager has been a star in dealing with the the closure of one tenancy and a large part of my questions relating to the new tenancy at Albany Court, Egham. Offering proactive guidance and support relating to dispute settlement with the previous tenant she has shown herself to be an effective, knowledgeable manager in all the aspects of lettings and property management. Her responsiveness to telephone calls and email enquiries was brilliant - in strong contrast to poor responses from other departments - she is truly customer focussed. She deserves a medal. Before we met Nelson at Townends we had been dragged around flats we didn't want to see by one agent and outright lied to by another. We had really lost hope. Nelson showed us a lovely flat .. the first property we had actually been able to walk to and he even managed to make a discount for us because we really wanted it but couldn't quite afford it. We were so happy. We were introduced to his manager to sort the paperwork so they could check there wouldn't be any problems with the reference process and everything was explained well. He even let me use his phone to speak to my friend I was meeting because my phone had died and I was late. Great to meet nice helpful people. I will definitely recommend them to anyone in Streatham.

I let my property in Guildford through Townends and they were brilliant from the start. Having had the property on the marketed with another agent for over a month I instructed Peter and colleagues on the Thursday before Easter weekend. By Tuesday morning I had two offers, one at asking price. Everyone I dealt with there was friendly, professional and couldn't have been more helpful. The checks and paperwork were completed efficiently with excellent communication throughout. Refreshingly a pleasurable and positive experience with Letting Agents. It's been great dealing with the guys at Streatham Hill. I've been a landlord for 7 years and after being let down by my previous letting agent I was seriously out of pocket and just didn't want to use an agent again. Andy got the worst of me when he knocked on my door one day but kept in touch and when he offered to introduce me to an applicant that had just missed out on another property on my road I thought I had nothing to loose. Within a few days I had the offer I wanted and Ravi kept me in the loop until the deal was done. Great work guys.

I'd almost lost hope. Then I met the team. Tired of the usual agent talk it was so nice to deal with normal well educated people! After the first viewing they both understood what I needed for my flat and after a couple of days it was let. No hassle, no lies just a potential tenant who was right for me and understood the limitations of my property. I wasn't expecting an offer so soon after the first few viewings so when they called to highlight the positives and negatives of each applicant that was interested it was great to have a conversation about what would work best for me. An agent that cares. Wow. We made the right choice because I've not only got tenants at a great rent but it looks like they are happy too and despite an aging property there's been no teething issues for the first time in years.

I sucessfully bought and sold through townends and I can honestly say that they were fantastic, they made the whole process very easy and got me the results I was after. I would recomend using them to anyone!

After searching the Internet for weeks I found a house with Townends Aldershot branch. I found them to be very polite an professional and they helped me secure the home I wanted quickly. The admin fee's aren't cheap but I researched other agents to check also and they were definately not the most expensive. I would use them again.

I don't understand the reviews below. I rented through Guildford Townnds and I think the agent I dealt with was Ross or Rob.
He was very helpful and showed me the property in detail. even though there were issues with the flat he explained everything so well my mind was put to rest. Making the offer was simple and I had the holding deposit Down within the hour. I'd rented through them before this also but now all the paperwork and things are a lot more centralised at a head office it's even simpler. I thoroughly recommend them and have friends that do to. Can't fault them at all. Agency fees are a standard thing, at least townends give you a breakdown of the costs, foxtons wanted one lump sum and wouldn't say what for. Its nice to know what your paying for.
