During Feb 2011 i lost my job this meant I couldnt pay the mortgage, NRAM was called and I explained the following month i was in employment I completed the i&e and agreed an overpayment of £50 for 1 year, the term came to an end and NRAM didnt contact but instead of keeping the payment on the system and contacting they reduced the payment and informed me i had broken my t&c's, i completed another i&e was tole I had more money than I had according tot he i&e in which they take monies off making you look like you have more money, not the case we agree for 3 months £60 with a view to contacting them at the end of july as the mortgage was coming to the end of the fixed rate which meant i would have more money, 26th july mortgage came out again nram took off the payments and then accused me of braking the conditions i hadnt and it wasnt even the end of July and I had a diary note to call them as per the agreement, i have completed yet another i&e and offered £150 per month replayment on the £2000 arrears this has been declined apparantly according to them i have £236 avaialble i dont, I am now at the end of my tether I am unable to deal over the phone i am hard of hearing all the advisors have no empathy and this is now making me ill, the website for nram explains how they can help i have received no help at all, my last letter offers a final £170 what can I do to get them to agree!!!!

Northern Rock offer competitive interest rates on savings, for example on fixed rate bonds at 5.3%.
Good customer service and quick counter service from friendly staff.
No need to make an appointment to open an account, and you get the account documentation, eg. bond certificate immediately or by post within 2 to 3 days. It is also easy to close accounts.
