“Delivered only half a bed”

An appalling and uncaring company to deal with. They only delivered half a bed and then I am having to chase them up to find out when the rest of the order will be honoured. All they keep doing is offering their 'apologies' and who needs that when you have guests sleeping on a mattress on the floor?!!! I suppose if I order a bed from a 'superstore' this is what I should expect. Don't bother - deal with a small company who can offer a decent service.

“Wouldn't recommend to anyone ”

The worst customer service, I bought a mattress which has been faulty and they will only replace it with the same one (likely to be faulty again) or a cheaper option. And I have to pay for them to remove to faulty mattress as if it's my fault?! Will never use them again, what a waste of time and money.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! I am devastated! My little boy turned 11 today and wanted a bedroom makeover for his birthday. He was so excited about getting his double bed which I planned in advance and pre-booked it to come on his birthday. I even noted in the purchase info that it was his birthday. Bedstar not only let my son down by bringing only half a bed. They strung us along all day having postponed the originally arranged morning slot. My child has no birthday present and is crying his eyes out! Needless to say they are now closed and unavailable to help. Terrible, terrible company!

“Avoid this company ”

Our young daughter moved into her first apartment and ordered a bed and mattress package from them back in October. The wrong size mattress was delivered and 2 of the drawers underneath were broken. A date was arranged for the new mattress and drawers. Drivers turned up late at 9pm, told my daughter that were taking the bed and mattress and left her with a new mattress and a large box. She assumed they were replacing the base completely. When she unpacked the box it was just 2 drawers and not a complete base. She emailed customer service straight away that night to say that the drivers had taken the base away. We have now been told that they have no record of the base being taken and they are asking for us to take more costs if we want a replacement base. Bedstar are taking no responsibility for the matter and are blaming their outsourcing of the delivery company. We keep being told that it's under investigation and again that if we want a base we have to pay a cost. We have written to the owners and with no outcome we are going to trading standards now. Our daughter is a civil servant working long hours and is having to sleep with the mattress on the floor, along with 2 useless drawers and no base. Avoid ordering from this company! *I will amend my review accordingly as and when we get closure*

“AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE”

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! I would give this company zero stars if I had the option. If you can get them to answer the phone or reply to your email you’re lucky. They’re rude and incompetent. I ordered a bed frame costing just short of £1000. They have delivered me two faulty beds. The first arrived in two completely different colours and missing half of it and the second arrived damaged on every part. They take no responsibility and don’t even apologise let alone compensate you for your wasted time. The courier service they use are awful and take no care in your home. They can’t seem to stick to deliver slots either causing so much inconvenience due to work. I had the misfortune of having to deal with a ‘customer service rep’ just the status is insulting. She is the most ignorant and rude woman I have ever encountered. She told me she was ‘loosing the will to live’ with me over the phone. All I wanted was the bed I had paid for and for it to not have been covered in rips. Her ‘manager’ isn’t much better, she purposely won’t reply to emails until 5pm as not to deal with you. The pair of them refused to organise collection of last faulty bed until I had sent photos of it re wrapped. Even though I confirmed I would do this but had to wait until I had a second pair of hands that evening. Delaying it even further!! I now have to fight to get my refund. They shouldn’t be trading, utter shambles and so infuriating.

“WARNING BAD AFTERCARE!”

I purchased a double ottoman and mattress from Bedstar. Initially everything was great, delivery and product. About 4 months ago I started to notice the base was dipping as the mattress was lower at one end. Also it started to squeak badly and the side to lift the base was becoming loose. I reported this to Bedstar with video evidence and a brief description. They have denied there is a problem without even sending a technician out. Appalling customer service/ aftercare. I would have expected an £850 bed to last at least 1 year but sadly this will not be the case. Maybe I was unlucky? Just be careful on buying with BEDSTAR, they might be value but you could have problems later like me. Be warned and read other negative reviews!

“Bed delivery and refunds”

I ordered a divan bed, king size for my new house. Delivery ordered online. On the day of delivery (after I took a day if AL) I found an email saying the bed is not available and offered different days slots. I picked a day, waited 2-3 days. Once delivery men did arrive, they attempted to carry the first part of the bed to my staircase. They then stopped and explained that the staircase was too narrow and they were not allowed to push the item up the stairs afraid not to scratch the wall surface as they could be charged for the damage caused. The bed was taken back. Considering that the previous house owners had a Kings size divan bed upstairs (which looked exactly like one of the beds on Bedstar website), with a big headboard, I am pretty sure the divan would have fitted ok in the staircase. I spoke to the customer service to request for an advice. I was hoping a solution could be offered. Instead I spoke to a lady who sounded very impatient, straight blamed me for unsuccessful delivery, and I was given an option for a refund(less a charge for the unsuccessful delivery, estimated as £60!). I have now been waiting for the refund(5 calendar days so far)and haven’t been able to order a new bed (elsewhere) until I get the funds from Bedstar… I regret choosing this company services

“Worst company I have ever had dealings with”

I ordered a mattress from this company and paid for my old mattress to be removed. They rook away my old mattress but failed to deliver the one that I had paid for. I was left with nowhere to sleep. Do not have any dealings with this company. They are a couldn't care less. They will just take your money and run.

“Shocking company please avoid”

Ordered £400 bunk beds product aerived damaged and parts missing. Parts that were there were put together. This was a Bday present, customer service was rude and unhelpful took over a week for replacement parts (which I was told to liasie with the warehouse to sort out) Wanted to complain, only allowed to by email, three weeks to reply ?!! The worst company I have dealt with.bad product and worse customer service Avoid avoid avoid

“AVOID this retailer like the plague”

The worst company - my whole interaction with them was an unending saga of incompetence. Only 4 out of 6 packages arrived - I had to chase the company about the last two (no-one contacted me to say that only 4/6 were ready or when the other two would come). One of the undelivered parcels was sent to my billing address, not my delivery address. Among the items I ordered were a mattress and a bedframe. The wrong size mattress was sent and the wrong colour bedframe. I then asked to return the bedframe and mattress that had been delivered and receive a refund, but instead, a second mattress appeared outside my front door when I got home from work one day. The mattresses and the bedframe had to be picked up by two different couriers. Despite asking for them to be picked up on a Thursday, at the last minute (and when I had already taken Thursday off from work), they told me that the couriers could only come on Friday. On Friday, the mattress courier apparently couldn't get into my property and call me - but I didn't receive a call and was in the property the whole day. The bedframe courier came hours after his estimated pick up slot. I have been home the whole of today - yet another day off work - waiting for the mattresses to be collected. They have yet to come, even though their estimated delivery slot is over. Apparently if they miss me today, I will have to pay for them to come again. This whole thing has been going on for two weeks now, during which I have been sleeping on the floor (moved into a new flat and don't have any furniture - waiting for the refund to get a new bed) and missed work on four occasions (including the original delivery). The mattress was from Visco therapy and the bedframe was a Birlea Rio. AVOID this retalier and do it the old fashioned way by going to a bed shop.

“Terrible quality”

Extraordinary bad quality bed. I paid £345 and received a bed where the mattress actually bruised my Mother, the castors all broke after one night, and the company refused a refund because the bed had been stored for 3 months before using. we were moving. I cannot express how bad the quality is from this company.

“Poor delivery and customer service!!”

Avoid this company poor delivery and customer service! I ordered a bed however had to chase up the delivery and was told it was out of stock. Bedstar contacted me to pick a suitable day in which i made special arrangements to be in all day and take the day off work. The delivery never arrived and i did not recieve any contact to say there would be a delay. I was charged £6 in mobile costs chasing up the delivery the next morning. I then had to make further arrangements which was an inconvenience and wait in again. I have tried about 5 times to ask for the £15 delivery to be refunded and it has been refused!! What a waste of all my time!!

“Bed disastar”

What a disappointment. Order was seamless in delivery however due to complications we need to return the base and headboard. order no was broken. the worst part of it all is the after sales service. Have tried to email many different accounts connected to bedstar and its employees and get failure notices from daemon not being able to deliver them. It would appear to me that the return of items from this company is something they are trying to avoid like the plague. If I do not have a successful communication with this company soon I will be looking into making a report to the ombudsman explaining my case ans experiences with this company who seemed only eager to take the funds but seem to do all their power to frustrate any return traffic.

“NEVER use this company...”

I placed my order for 2 beds and paid, delivery was arranged for 12 days later. 24 hours before the delivery day I was advised that the products were out of stock, for at least a further 4 weeks. A refund will take at least 5 days. According to the customer service lady I signed the T&Cs before I ordered. Did I really expect to sign up to such appalling service? AVOID. AVOID.

I ordered two beds and took a day off of work in order to be there to receive the delivery. I remained home between the hours of 7am-7pm (as they were not able to provide a more specific time). Despite the fact that I received a phone call the day before, confirming that the beds would be delivered, 7pm passed and the beds had still not arrived. I found this quite surprising as not only did the tracking log provided by XDP claim that the beds would arrive between 4:27pm and 6:27pm but also because the carrier was monitored at 12.20pm to be no more than 20 minutes from my home. Resultantly, despite assurances that the delivery would be on that day, my heavily pregnant wife and I were left without a bed were consigned to sleeping on mattresses on the floor. Moreover, due to the fact that both bedstar and xdp's phone lines are uncontactable at 7pm, we were unable to establish where our delivery was or what had happened. We were not contacted by a driver to inform us of any lateness and frankly this lack of communication and failure to deliver a product in a timely manner (especially when the time given stretched over 12 hours, forcing buyers to stay home from work!) was unacceptable. However, our experience only got worse when our bed was finally delivered, after emailing a complaint, over the weekend when we were not home. The courier had broken into our garden and left both beds out, in the open and presumably forged our signature to confirm we had 'received the package'. After complaining again to Bedstar about this, and explaining that leaving the beds in the open caused damage to the headboard. The blame was shifted to the courier (despite their legal responsibility) and a replacement headboard was sent out, taking a week to arrive! Avoid at all costs!

“Failed another delivery since my last review”

Purchased divan bed from bedstar weeks ago based on marketing hype of next day delivery 4 failed deliveries later and all i get are excuses about delivery company losing two bed bases and sending wrong stuff 1st delivery mattress only no base No communication Nothing I ring up to complain COST ME FORTUNE AS PREMIEM TEL NO BEWARE Im only gives excuses about black friday and cyber monday pressure on them I accept in good faith Take another day off work for next delivery 2nd delivery no show No communication I chase up where bed is They blame supply depot not sending bed Agree to third delivery Taking another day off work 3rd delivery Half a base .What the .........What would anyone do with half a base .Refused to accept Complained bitterly only to get excuses that delivery company at fault again and theres no redress on them .. Hang on I contracted them to purchase and deliver a bed and they say there no redress on them...consumer act 2015 says otherwise They offer a mattress protector to placate me Ive now lost more money than bed is worth in lost earnings from 3 wasted days hanging around for them and they offer mattress protector I need a bed im too old to be getting up from mattress on floor so i reluctantly agree to a forth delivery 4th Delivery They deliver two different Bases Can you believe it 4 deliveries for a Divan bed next day delivery and 4 complete and utter .... .. I am not one to complain But this is gross incompetence I wished i read other review sites as i would never have dealt with them if i saw whats written about them This is not an isolated occurrence Search internet and youll see AVOID AT ALL COST IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR SANITY AND AVOID MIGRAINES

“failed to deliver bed 3 times”

Agreed to purchase a bed from this company based on their marketing hype of next day delivery Well three failed deliveries later they still haven't delivered bed I have had to take of 3 day work to hang around for delivery When I ring up all I get is excuses and they blame everyone else in particular the delivery company panther group repeatedly When I express my disbelief in their incompetence they tell me that it the deliver companied fault and that there is no redress on them Well I don't think they've heard of the consumer act 2015 which clearly states that I am in contract with them to provide a bed therefore they are accountable for the complete transaction We are going for the forth attempted delivery tomorrow but I get a text from company stating that there are 2 delivery date What a joke Avoid at all cost Save your self the headache and don't belive the hype My only recourse to make up lost earnings is now to take legal action
