Good Points: 33 years old, was in great condition when I restored it. Has a lot of torque, very agile, reliable, good on fuel for a small tank, what else can I say? It's an amazing bike.
Bad Points: If I had to say anything, some parts are hard to come by.
General comments: My Suzuki Beamish RL250 (Trials) 250 was my fathers, he bought it new in 1974 from a Suzuki dealership he worked at. He rode it for many years until he got married and had kids. When I was 10 years old I found it in the corner of our shed under a bunch of junk and bugged him about it for 2 years. One day after school I took it out of the shed and cleaned it up, after doing some research on the bike I found that it was rare but parts were still available for it. I started to restore it from the condition it was in which wasn't bad at all. It started right up for me the first time. This time I went over everything from the frame up. For an old bike it was in good condition to begin with. I replaced many parts and everyone who saw the bike was very impressed. The rear suspension wore out on me and I am having trouble finding new for it so I found a pair of shocks from another bike and have them on for now. I ride it every day and it starts first or second kick no matter what the weather is. This bike is worth more to me then just a rare motorcycle because it was my fathers. It has a lot of power and can take me any ware I want to go. I keep up with my friends who all have newer bikes and cant say one bad thing about my RL. If you are looking to restore a vintage bike to ride for years to come you should seriously look into a Suzuki Beamish RL250 (Trials) 250.

I got my Suzuki Beamish Christmas 2003 and then it was 23 years old. It had been looked after reasonably well, and had no paint chips, mostly all original parts. I was amazed at how it started and ran. Like new! the bike is rear dualshock and has a five speed gearbox, 1 down 4 up. It is quite powerful with 15-18 horsepower... and example of this is when my dads car got stuck at the bottom of our field and I went down and hooked onto a big "Ifor Williams" trailer!! It will and can do anything wit ...
