There were several issues on my flights. I had a round trip flight. While on a lay over in Berlin there was a delay and after 45 minutes we were told that the luggage was not loaded yet. That wasn't so much an issue except on the way back the BIGGEST complaint I have is with comfort on the flight. While flying back, both my girlfriend and I had severe ear pains as we were descending. This hasn't happened since I was a child, and my hearing has been dull since. I think that there is an issue on how they pressurize the cabin on the aircraft. This is a major issue I hope more people read about it.

I have read a number of reviews of Air Berlin before buying tickets for my family.I would really want to know if good reviews were done by passengers or Air Berlin employees. This is one of the reasons I write this one. The whole experience was not positive at all:Starting with check-in, which was taking sometimes more than 20 minutes for one passenger/family.Slow check-in caused late departure, which lead for missing connection flight. Food was very poor and kids meals, which were ordered for mo ...

What can I say.. I made the mistake of flying with them with uninsured suitcase. The suitcase was lost and although they confirmed this, they did not gave the compensation they promised. Later, they gave some of the money. Just one comment if you plan to use their services, always insure your luggage with a private insurer so you will not have the misfortune of having to speak with them directly.

On 7th July 2008 my partner and I were due to catch the 12:25 flight from Valencia to Palma de Mallorca via Air Berlin. We were through to the departure lounge by 11.30am and waited patiently for our flight. 12.25 came and went without news other than the 'delayed' message on the TV screens, and nobody, including my partner and me, was quite sure whether to leave the departure lounge or wait for news as there were very few airport staff present to ask for information. Eventually, at 13.30 approx ...

Excellent service from a very low cost airline. Got a great deal on tickets due to early booking. My wife is disabled and Air Berlin left her with nothing but great memories of her first ever flight. They could not do enough for her. A very good flight with a great touch of complimentary sandwich and hot drink. Cabin crew and captain kept us up to speed with our position with regular updates.Overhead DVD provided lots of information as well as a bit of Mr Bean to kep us all amused.I would highly ...

Stanstead / Glasgow return. Flight out OK on an old Fokker 100, except for cold coffee and bag of crisps for in-flight service. Aircraft couldn't be started for return flight due out 18.00, no information on what was happening till 20.45. Were not given options as per Montreal agreement, and put up in motel for night. No effort to find an alternative carrier or explain rights. Only AB staff member available was one junior who knew nothing. Got to motel 23:00, flown out 9:40 next day, no explanat ...

I have taken the time to update my other reviews following my previous posting on Air Berlin last year, when they had just launched their Glasgow to London Stansted route. On the whole, now I would say they're much better, their time-keeping has improved, the free snack, coffee and chocolate remains a feature and the price is usually very competitive. They have certainly changed my view of them.

Pretty good airline, good prices, now starting to take off from larger airports and going to more places.

Our Air Berlin flights outward and return were on time. Free English newspaper, sweet, drink and sandwich. The staff were very polite. The seats coming back (Fokeer plane) were very comfortable, and there was plenty of leg room.

All in all, good value for money.

Will avoid if possible in the future. German efficiency has vanished going by Air Berlin.

I have chosen to fly Air Berlin on 5 or 6 occassions since they started their Glasgow Stansted (GLA STN) route. They're not the most punctual often leaving 30 mins late, if you're a regular flyer these delays often for no reason really begin to grate.

Arriving at Stansted the plane parks at an international stand as it's next leg will be to somewhere in Germany which means of course waiting for buses ... again regaular travellers will know how frustrating this can be.

    Overall the staff are ...
