  General comments: I don't understand the two poor reviews that this foundation got. I'm a makeup artist and have tried every foundation on earth on every possible skin type. My favourites are Mac Face and Body and now this one for a little more coverage. Chanel Vitalumiere is absolutely beautiful and gives a gorgeous silky finish to the skin. The aroma of the product is really pleasant and I would highly recommend this foundation.
  Possibly the bad reviews are due to people using the wrong colour or are maybe using it on the wrong skin type. I can't fault it...although it is pricy!

  Chanel Vitalumiere Satin Smooth Cream Compact is the best foundation ever! Expensive but worth every penny. I have tried most brands but this one is by far the best. I tried this and there is no going back now, this is all I use. A little goes a long way too!
  I'm in my late thirties so my skin can look a little tired. For a night out or somewhere special, I use this, as the coverage is fantastic and I always get compliments on how lovely my skin looks. For everyday daytime wear I use the light ...

  I have really high maintenance skin, so if I use the wrong foundation it can leave my skin with orange streaks and makes it look cakey and "bitty" like it's just dried out. I was given a tester of Chanel Vitalumiere Satin Smooth Cream Compact foundation, which I am still using until I can buy it, so I'd recommend you ask for a tester before you actually get it.

  Fantastically smooth, and gorgeously scented. Really blends in with olive skin - "Clair" is the best colour for blending with olive skin, "beige" for slightly yellower.
  
  One bottle lasts forever, which is great cause I can't get enough of it! It is a bit on the pricey side, but its quality and won't ruin your skin. I love it, I will never use anything else.

  Chanel Vitalumiere Satin Smooth Cream Compact is a very greasy foundation.it takes ages to blend in. Not very nice smell. Wears off within 2 hours and you're left with thick blotches of foundation on your face so it has to be re-applied all the time. Very sticky on the face before powder is added over the top.

  I am very glad I was given a sample of Chanel Vitalumiere before I was buying, otherwise my money would have gone to the water. This is, surprisingly, the worst foundation I have ever tried (Clinique, Lancome, Clarins, even Maybelline is better!). It literally 'sits' on the skin, you can hardly blend it! I would not recommend anyone to buy it.
