    Good Points: Value for Money
    Accuracy
    Quiet ( with moderator )
I am advised that the Logun magazine will fit if you require a multishot function, but I haven't tried this and couldn't comment on its effectiveness.

I put it on par with my Daystate Huntsman Mk 2.

Bad Points: Putting the single shot pellet tray in the breach was a pain.
From my own point of view I don't really think it neccessary.

General comments: I have owned this FX Typhoon .177 rifle for 8 weeks and note that it is proabably the best value rifle for the Money I have owned.

I own the walnut stock version which I found more comfortable to handle than the synthetic stock.

Build quality is good, as it always is with FX / Logan.
I chronoed it new at 11.2 Ft/lb with JSB Exact diabolos which gives it full power.

The barrel is rifled match quality, and seems to be more than adequate, and has been matched with a logan moderator which makes the rifle as silent as one would need it to be.
It does become a long rifle with the moderator on, but I like this anyway, so it doesn't detract from the appearance or functionality.. I know many hunters prefer shorter barrels due to problems in undergrowth, but I guess I don't shoot in such close conditions.

I 'm quite happy with 40-50 full power shots before I get any significant droppage. ( dependent on temperature).
I run it with a Hawke Sidewinder scope which is a little to long and heavy for the gun but is super accurate.
If prpoerly set up this gun will shoot as well as a gun twice the cost.

I have seen this gun advertised across the air gun magazines and they always seem to offer good value. I was most surprised that many people don't like them, but it looks as if the brand is not liked rather than the gun itself. |
I was able to secure a rifle and moderator at an excellent discount. Value for money is therefore very good.

I can always rely on it to make that crucial shot. Its comfortable and well balanced, the .177 caliber gives it deadly accuracy. The biggest difference from the .22 i have found is the speed over long distance, its immediately noticeable, as soon as you've pulled the trigger your shots there, and i feel i do get better penetration than a .22 as ive taken down much tougher pests, ie. crows where i found with the 22. version, the pellets were actually knocking the bird to the ground injured, and u ...

I own some great air guns, FWB, Beeman, and AA. The FX Typhoon is the one I shoot the most. It is a joy to shoot in every way. It is very close to being as accurate as my Anschutz rimfire at 50 yards. I would recommend this gun to anyone interested in a fine rifle.
