Good Points: I chose this car by going to the VED website and searching for the best fuel economy available from a 5-seat car. Nothing else came close to it at the time. I bought it second hand, 2 years old with 18,000 miles on it from the Citroen dealer in York.
In 28 months it has covered 64,000 miles at an average of 76mpg.
It can accommodate five adults, and the boot can take the contents of an entire supermarket trolley and a wheelchair at the same time.
Bad Points: The dealership was appalling. Nauseatingly sycophantic until they got my money, and then they absolutely refused to give any after sales service.
Headlamps fail regularly and are incredibly difficult to replace. And the handbrake warning light refuses to turn off.
The aircon propellant leaks out so quickly I have given up refilling it. Not worth it at sixty quid a pop.
And don't have light cream coloured seats in a car you spend two hours a day in.
General comments: After twenty years of buying cars with better reputations for build quality than Citroen, I am delighted with this cheap little car. It has been more reliable than any VW, BMW, Volvo, Toyota or Mercedes that I or any of my relatives have owned.
I wanted the cheapest possible car for a very long daily commute, and was prepared to put up with a few shortcomings in exchange - and this car actually has fewer problems than anything else I have owned.

I wouldnt recommend a Citroen C3 to anyone, having bought a 53reg in sept of 2003 and having so many faults with the car and very bad after sales service I am now selling my Citroen C3 as I have had enough of faults and unreliablity.- Read westyorksbabe's review (53 words and 1 comment)
