I bought my Daisy FWB 300S new in December 1967 for $164. I have loved this air rifle ever since. It still shoots 5 shots in the same hole. Great gun. I like the accuracy, the iron sights and the anti-recoil and of course the reliabilty. The adjustible trigger is nice also. (read more)

I recently purchased a 300S Tyrolean, man I love Tyro stocks. A bit rare and have to pay a premium to get one plus wait quite a while for one to come up for sale. The 300 series came in several different forms from the "Standard" to Mini, Running Boar, Universal, Match L & Tyrolean. There also was 2 distinct variations in the base power which was denoted by the plain 300 variants and the 300S models. The original 300 was only rated @ 460 fps while the S models were 640 fps. These guns are... (read more)

I bought my 300s nearly 20 years ago, I have never had it servied other than a clean now and again and a little gun oil. I paid new £340.00. Would I sell it NO. This in my opinion is one of the finest target competition guns of all time. at 10 meters it is accurate enough to put ten rounds through the same hole! with very little expansion of the pellet hole! If I could adivse anyonewho wants the perfect match rifel get one you will never regret it. (read more)

A lovely well made and very accurate gun iam 32 and this gun is older than me by quite a few years if only all air rifles were made this good. Ive had a 300s for years it used to be my fathers its served us both exstreamly well and is still very accurate. The stock is broken and has been bodged and finding a replacement is proving very hard (read more)

I got my FWB 300 new in 1985, I have shot it 103 thousand times (All RWS Meisterkugelns, I keep track). The rear piston spring broke at 77580 shots, the rifle was Supertuned and serviced by Beeman. I Acraglassed the carriage in the wood. From sandbags the guns shoots exactly the same one hole group that came with the instructions. I have NEVER had a rod down the barrel. My eyes forced me to mount a Burris 6x in Beeman steel rings, I find this a great combination. (read more)

I have been handed down this Feinwerkbau FWB-300S from my father he shot with it in bridgnorth air rifle league fom many years. I joined the same league last season and have just had the gun totally overhauled ready to start this season. during its time with my father to my knowledge he never had it serviced in 20 years so it was well overdue. i had it tested both before and after its service. it was firing at as little as 509 m/sec and is now better than standard reaching a constant 590... I have used FWBS and 300Su for 30 years. I have a collection of 5 all in good condition . One, I rebuilt after it was severely damaged in an accident - the stock was in 10 pieces !!. I rebuilt it and set it for 20 yards and won silver in the Worcs County LSR competition.
Using my first 300 purchase in 1974, I won a gold this year in the Eley/Bisley 10M

The best thing about this air rifle is its incredible accuracy...I've had mine for a year and got tired of pulverizing smarties at 30 yard because it was too easy...I had read somewhere that it was possible to light matches with it and at the time I thought "yeah right'. Well I set up some wood matches at 30 yards and on the first shot I lit the match (almost had a heart attack right there). I'm using a 3x9 power scope....if you're thinking about buying one of these classics (harder and... (read more)

This might upset a few people but I went into a little gun shop to pick up a new BSA Comet for general back garden plinking. The man in the shop persuaded me to buy a second hand 300s for the same money (£150). Thank God he did. An unbelievably good quality gun. As I do not want to kill anything this is ideal for what I need. I look at it almost as much as I shoot it. (read more)

I've been into springers for quite a while. Always sporters however. After shooting a friends Diana 66 recoiless match gun though, I was hooked on recoiless springers. I decided on a Feinwerkbau FWB300s for their ease of disassembly and readily available parts. My goal was to try to soup one of these up into a Field Target Gun.
I selected a mini which is about one lb lighter than the 300s full size. My gun had many rounds through it but was still in excellent shape. I took the thing...

Hello,

Did the spring upgrade cause any problems internally with your Feinwerkbau FWB-300S air rifle? Was the accuracy of the rifle affected by the spring change? I shoot a 300S, and I would like a bit more velocity for pest control.

Thanks for the review.

You took a FWB-300 apart and found two opposing springs? That's news to me. FWBs, to my knowledge, have only one mainspring and an action that slides to cancel the recoil.

Excellent tool, had my Feinwerkbau FWB-300S 10 years now and will not part with it, but have developed a problem. The trigger has broken off and I cannot find any resource to find a part number for the new parts I need. Does anyone know where I might find an exploded diagram of the 300S identifying the various parts by number or where I can seek advice. UK based. (read more)

Hi there, this is my first review..
I have been shooting with this Feinwerkbau FWB-300S air rifle for about 4 years now, my first air rifle whas a Diana 16 ( old timer ) and later followed by a El Gamo Cadet Delta .177. In 2001 the FWB 300s came as a xmass gift. It was love at first site.
The FWB 300S has almost no recoil, the rifle is very easy to handle. I used this rifle for a range of 10 meters ( 32.8 feet ) and now I am using the FWB 300S only for shooting crows and shooting pests....

In Linclon ,Ne. at the Scheels shooting goods store they had three that were in VERY good condition although they were used and under the daisy name still the same gun as u seek. They were asking 300.00 apiece but open to offers. I have shot this particular gun and i agree, for price they can't be beat.

The Feinwerkbau FWB-300S is the rifle that I was introduced to when I first started shooting at my club. My initial though of the 10lbs that it weighs is that it is far too heavy. However as I learned more about indoor target shooting weight is to your advantage and I soon became accustomed to it. After hiring one for a few weeks I had to have my own and luckily I came across a second hand one fully serviced (I understand gold is easier to obtain). The more I use it the more I love it. Easy... This may be my favorite air rifle. Extremely accurate. Stock ergonomics are superb. The trigger is absolutely great from the factory; needs no adjustment or work at all. If you're looking for a low power (about 6FPE) target rifle, backyard plinker, metal silhouette target class rifle, look no further. The only problem is that you have to wait for someone to die to get one. After five months of looking I finally found mine. I shoot it in the house at 10m silhouette targets every week. ... Don't you get tired of picking up the dime and replacing it on the bench all the time?
