Good Points: Heavy duty model
Some weather proofing
Many exposure modes
Fast focusing and motor drive
Bad Points: Now two series' old. Most examples have been used by professionals.
General comments: The Canon EOS 1 is an older series model in the Canon SLR EOS range.
These cameras can be brought quite cheaply, as they have mostly been used by pros who are now updating to digital cameras, but they can be well used.
If you can find a tidy example, you will have a camera that will last for a very long time.
The camera has only one central focus point, but the fast auto focusing will make up for this.
With full metering modes including spot metering. 5 frames a second with the added booster battery pack.
This pack will also give you an excellent vertical grip and shutter release button as well.
The secondhand versions have more options and better build than a EOS 50 or 30.
It has no built-in flash, but will connect with all the Canon EZ and EX flashes.
I am buying them for under $50US, so they are a used bargain.
