Good Points: Powerful
Tough
Very good looking
Real Rifle feel
Bad Points: Needs a scope stop
General comments: This is a very "Russian" rifle in every respect. It has the good looks, the toughness and ruggedness of an AK-47. First thing you notice when opening the box is that the rifle comes wrapped in some sort of arsenal wrap, just like a mossin-nagant. It comes with spare parts (including mainspring and a cleaning rod). One thing you may not like is the effort needed to cock the rifle. In my house I am the only one strong enough to cock the rifle, for instance. Now, when you fire it you see why it's hard to cock, this thing kicks, and sounds like a .22 rimfire. It obviously has ample power (more than the 1000 Ft/sec. advertised for sure). Is pretty accurate but you need to fire it some to get accustomed to it's power. This for sure is no kids gun. Is a serious air rifle for adults. The adjustable sights are excellent. The rifle is pretty large, but not heavy and the balance I find perfect. It has a nice wrinkled finish that helps with the rugged military look and feeling. You can check out the web page for the IZH Baikal factory and notice that this is a big and serious company in Russia. They even manufacture the famous makarov pistol for the Russian army, among others. Overall this is a pretty nice rifle that is well made and reliable just like Russian rifles are meant to be. 100% Recommended.

The MP513 is certainly a rifle of a different color, so to speak... especially to someone used to the normal, run-of-the-mill breakbarrels available from other makers.
First off, the gun is very business-like, almost military in its appearance. Oversized fastener heads and a rough, krinkle-like finish on the metal parts (it does look good) contribute to that impression, as does the size of the gun. And Baikal is thoughtful enough to include a few spare parts in the package (including a spring ...- Read vinceb's review (436 words and 1 comment)

The Baikal EAA model 513 Cal.177 is made by IZH, Russian manufacturer who make a nice range of air rifles from basic to target-grade. The model 513 is their most powerful, with 1000fps capability, which I can attest to (see below). It's quite well made, with many professional features and is large enough to be concidered an adult weapon.
First, the overall design. It's stock has a quality finish, with a cheekplate that helps settle my eye on the sights. The bluing is matted and doesn't ...- Read ianbond's review (735 words and 2 comments)
